I think this is an important point. The Christian right has shown its collective ass on this one. I don’t think there needs to be even a token nod toward their belief system considering their belief system allowed them to support Trump; if they don’t believe in their own belief system, then why should I have to respect it?

He didn’t run successfully because was famous. He ran successfully because a good half the electorate doesn’t care about right and wrong anymore. They hear an angry guy, and that’s good enough. It doesn’t matter that everything he’s saying is awful. He’s angry, and they’re angry, so that means he’s their candidate. Morals don’t matter, even to supposed “Christians.”
Slut shaming is done to women, not men. The word slut is gendered–it means a woman who has many sexual partners and loose sexual morals. You have to say something else to refer to a guy. Because guys are not slut shamed as a rule.
That makes it sexist. But, hey, everything’s fair in politics, right?
It would be out there, and people would watch it out of curiosity. It wouldn’t be promoted by the party. And it would not be a bad thing for a man. Men having sex is a sign of virility and power. Men are not shamed for having sex. The only reason Bill Clinton was shamed was because it was out of wedlock–and even that didn’t last.
The only sex tape I know of from a straight man that ever made things bad for that man was the one by Hulk Hogan, and that was because he said a bunch of bigoted shit. (And, even then, he got his comeuppance at a level that dwarfs any other sex tape release.)
And, as anyone should have suspected, Trump lied. The supposed sex tape isn’t one. It’s a (unbleeped) clip from a reality show. But I’m sure lying’s okay too. You said everything is allowed in politics. That means morals don’t matter.
And that is why Trump has run as successfully as he has.
Thanks to Reddit, I know about this. She said she was considering it, because Caitlyn Jenner (!) is voting Trump, and she really respects her opinion on political things. But Caitlyn also told her to do the research herself and see who she aligns with on the issues. And she agrees with Clinton on gun-control and protecting the right to safe abortions, among other things.
She also said she has to vote not only for herself but for her children, to ensure they have a better future.
Pretty nice for someone that Evangelical Christians would call a “slut.”

I think NATO was a bad idea in 1949, a worse idea in 1956, and an even worse idea today; I’ve never thought differently. The one thing that I kind of liked about Trump was his desire for better relations with Russia and an end to our Cold War system of alliances. I always thought he had very serious problems, and the Machadogate scandal just underscores that his character issues are so serious I can’t countenance the thought of voting for him. Every other candidate in the race besides Clinton (Johnson, Castle, Stein, and the various fringe far-left parties) are non interventionist too, so I don’t think I could countenance voting for Clinton either.
I would probably have insulted the living fuck out of Trump if he had told me in a direct face to face conversation.
Sorry, while I think getting caught on tape screwing, or having your phone hacked and your naked bits spread all over the internet is preventable [don’t screw someone near a camera, and don’t take pictures of your naughty bits and they can’t be leaked] I don’t see what the fuck the big deal it, people come in an assortment of genders and gender preferences, there is a strong drive to reproduce, so nookie happens [no nookie, the race dies out] If you are idiot enough to make such a big deal out of a sex tape, or pictures of someones bits, you deserve to be laughed at.
