Anderson “you had sex with him”
Stormy “yes”
The videos aren’t cuing up and I can’t edit the post. Start the first one at 1:24 and the second one about 1 minute in.
Also, she’s claiming that the NDA isn’t valid since trump (apparently under the name David Dennison) never signed it.
Cancelled due to mod-note.
If – as it appears – both parties’ attorneys signed the document, there may be an argument for Ostensible Agency:
Keith Davidson, apparently, represented Ms. Daniels. Since the other attorney’s name is redacted … ?
IANAL.
I’ve searched through this thread and haven’t seen any comments on the lawyer representing Trump on this indictment. At least, the one who is speaking on the TV news and political commentary shows I have seen. I am talking about Joe Tacopina.
That the media can find other lawyers to criticize Tacopina is not too surprising. That is what the media does.
What I find surprising, though, is that Tacopina appears to epitomize the stereotypical mobster lawyer, with his NY Bronx accent, his facial features, and his “Tough Guy” responses to questions. I can’t help but imagine that this is not an accident. That is, it seems to me that Trump wants to put out an image that a mobster lawyer is a good image to project.

Regarding Trump legal team member Susan Necheles, Reuters reports:
And that little boy, who nobody liked, grew up to be Joe Tacopina. And now you know the rest of the story.
The redacted signature, best as I can tell, is for “Essential Consulting LLC”, the company Michael Cohen set up to move the money. That signature should belong to someone acting as an agent for them. I assume it’s Cohen’s.
Here’s the other part of the NDA. Note the similar signature and “EC, LLC” under it.
It’s from his staff, not DJT personally.
If he thinks the drama level isn’t high enough, or wants to make his lawyers look foolish, he has other options.
The biggest negatives for him I see, if he doesn’t go to New York this week, are that he’s trapped in Florida, and, worse, it gives DeSantis the appearance of having power over him. Plus, his lawyers want him to appear, and if Trump’s current legal team quits, he won’t find another so competent. So he’ll probably show up in Manhattan — maybe, as another poster mentioned — late.
I see no reason to think he won’t show up Tuesday. This gives him the chance to be the martyr and use this as fundraising fuel. If I understand Republican logic, going after him after he declared his candidacy is off limits, but urging the justice system to go after Hillary after she won the nomination is what Jesus wants.
Throngs of people fond of chanting “Lock Her Up” have suddenly developed an intense skepticism of the judicial system, and a delusional idea that the presidency endows a regal majesty.
Yep.
Trump campaign says it raised more than $4 million in the 24 hours after his indictment
This appears to be about eight times Trump’s usual daily take.
On the other hand:
– This could be from contributors who were going to give the same amount to Trump eventually.
– The value of campaign contributions, in terms of getting candidates elected, isn’t scientifically proven.
– The Trumpers could be lying about the $4 million.
I can’t find the article now, but something i read today said there was a strategy meeting and Trump is obsessed about getting a mug shot taken so he can put it in t-shirts to sell to raise money. Could be a good idea; unless it says something like “hoax” or “witch hunt” he could hawk them on both sides of the aisle.
Eta:
With a grim fixation on having a mug shot taken, Trump has asked whether his team could print it on T-shirts that could serve as a rallying motif for his supporters – an idea that his advisers have been particularly enthusiastic about.
I don’t think those chanting “Lock her up!” had any intention of using the judicial system to achieve that end.
Run? Have you seen Donald Trump on the golf course?
With a grim fixation on having a mug shot taken, Trump has asked whether his team could print it on T-shirts that could serve as a rallying motif for his supporters – an idea that his advisers have been particularly enthusiastic about.
The striking thing about this is that Trump’s unconventional politics has now escalated its increasing lawlessness into full-on gangsta mode, if that wasn’t clear enough from January 6. He and his armed mob will fight the justice system by any means possible, get power by any means possible, and keep power by any means possible. Even the thin pretext of respect for the law that was peddled after Jan 6 in the guise of plausible deniability is no longer necessary.
I will bet 20 Quatloos that the indictment will include a charge for threatening the DA with the baseball bat picture.
Any takers?
Please, Lord, let him represent himself.
Every time he asks for money, I always figure it’s not going to change the outcome of whatever he’s [claiming to] saying it’s for and each time is the final straw for a few more people. Either because they can’t afford to donate any more to him, they’re sick of the broken promises or they finally realized they’re getting conned.
It’s like if tax laws might get changed so Elon Musk starts begging for people to donate money to help him foot the 2 million dollar tax bill he thinks he’s going to get next April.
As far as I’m concerned, anyone that donates to him deserves to lose that money.
Counterpoint: there are a lot of people who donate to him that cannot afford to lose the money. People who are giving him money that should be feeding themselves, or for going to a doctor, or helping their kid in schools, but instead get paid to ‘Save America’.
Granted, these people are hopelessly, pathetically, willfully blind and refuse to understand that they are being manipulated, but often it is their family members that are suffering, not just them.
I speak as a friend had to give his mother $200 so she would go to a follow up with her doctor (Type 2) after she spent her money on Trump while on a fixed income.
While I loathe TFG in ways that if I believed in the three-fold rule would be lethal, in many ways I blame Murdoch and Fox more for enabling his false narrative and helping blind half of America.
