Trump indicted

Given the types that vote for him, I am surprised that he paid the hush money.
“Yes, we had sex, and it was perfect! She said it was the post perfect sex she ever had!”

A little too late for that one…

One hopes that maybe the other indictments have been slow as no one wanted to be the first to indict a former President.

Off to the races, lads!!!

I scared the cat with the noise I made when I first read the news.

The ones from Maine and Vermont can, but that’s gotta be single digits.

Two states, Maine[50] and Vermont,[51] as well as the District of Columbia,[52] have unrestricted voting rights for people who are felons. They allow the person to vote during incarceration, via absentee ballot, and have no specific restrictions upon completion of their sentence.

Trump is likely on the toilet and won’t come out. Crying like a sad little child.

He’s the historic first president to be indicted. That’s something he can be proud of.

But what happens if Trump refuses to go to NY?

You win the thread.

Let’s all remember that, unless grand jury secrecy has broken down, which would be bad mmmkay, none of CNN’s sources have any more idea what he’s been charged with than you or I do.

Ya just had to bring Yoko Ono into it, didn’t you?

to intercept a Chinese surveillance balloon.

If Trump doesn’t surrender himself and DeSantis won’t extradite him then Trump would be dependent on DeSantis’s good will. Also it would be very tricky for him to leave Florida. He certainly can’t set foot in any state with a Democratic governor and I suspect more than a few GOP governors won’t happy if he drags them into this. If he flys what’s to stop the Feds from ordering his plane to land if it’s over a Blue state? Is he still entitled to Secret Service protection if he’s a fugitive from justice?

Well, he always wanted to be more like Putin.

I tuned in Fox News just for a second, but in that magical second I heard Laura Ingraham say that Trump’s indictment was just like Stalin’s purges.

I don’t know about Stalin, but that statement made me want to thoroughly purge.

FOX owned WABC in NYC has at least one host saying “I love Trump but I wish he would stop doing stupid shit”

The tears of my enemies.

Stormy: But he knew how to use it.

As I’m seeing people question why the Stormy case is going first. Is it possible they’re expecting something to come out of it that could be used in one of the other cases?

For an over the top example: An email between Trump and Rudy comes out where they’re explicitly discussing how to get this insurrection started and agreeing to steal classified documents if the insurrection fails to keep him in power.

He’ll be able to say it was the best indictment of a [former] president ever, and in rare form, not be lying.

I’ve mentioned this in the past, but would that really be that bad? I’m not sure how much influence he’d have over there and, even if he did, I feel like they wouldn’t tolerate him for very long. That being said, I always wonder if having him out of our hair politically, socially and going through the court system might be an even trade for him escaping all legal ramifications, but having to live out his days in Russia.

You don’t think the FBI will just go and get him? My understanding is that the state of Florida isn’t going to help, not that they’re going to actively attempt to prevent it from happening.

In a bit of fun (and totally coincidental) news, my daughter just got back from an Op Shop visit with a brand-spanking new card game, Trump Cards! For the grand total of $5, the unopened game will be worth a fortune in the months and years to come! Trump Cards.

Here’s what I think.

If Federal charges get filed, then maybe they might. But, I’m not sure how or why the FBI would get involved in extraditing someone from Florida to New York for local charges.
