Dear God, the grifting has reached epic proportions. Trump is still sitting on most of the $250 million he raised to “stop the steal,” but apparently he needs more and Lindsey Graham is out there fundraising for him!
Sure, but prosecutors generally don’t call for a grand jury until or unless they’re confident about the strength of their case. Especially when it’s a very high-profile target.
If it’s a federal indictment, Trump is statistically 92% likely to either be convicted, or plead guilty.
DeSantis can’t NOT realize that getting his main Republican rival locked up clears out his path to the primary nomination much more easily.
Unless he’s afraid the PR hit from doing so is so severe that it would knock DeSantis out of the race as well and clear the path for Nikki Haley or the dozen other Republican rivals.
In general, this is merely good in contrast to other AI generated poetry that came before. Many lines fail to scan smoothly which is vitally important to Modern Major General. These lines, however, are amazing, because while it still doesn’t scan, you can force fit “trials” and “wiles” into “try-ee-als” and “why-ee-als” which definitely keeps to the spirit of the original.
Should be. I can’t think of any reason a judge would close it. They are generally unwilling to close public proceedings. Security will be an issue, but security can be an issue in lots of cases. The courts are well prepared for this, more than people realize.
Many of us thoughts so. Of all the crazy conspiracy theories out there, the only one that makes sense to me is that Trump has something on Senator Graham. Something really bad.
Before his golfing day with Trump, Graham spoke the truth about Trump. (“If we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed…and we will deserve it.”)
And BIden too
(“he’s as good a man as god ever created”).
I wish I could recall the details, but someone on the Jim and Marjorie show (Boston area NPR show) was claiming that the David Pecker/National Enquirer catch and kill thing goes deeper than people realize, and in addition to killing things for Trump they were funneling useful things about other pols to him.
I am not saying this is true. It’s a little CT for my comfort. But imagine, just imagine, if true, it could explain a lot of the Grahams we’ve seen.
I fully expect he’d throw the cops under the bus. “I didn’t comply with that antifa commie plot to arrest Trump, it was those woke groomer cops who hate America!”
So, realistically, what length of prison sentence are we looking at? Of course, given Trump’s age, anything above, say, 8 years is a de facto life sentence.
Anyhow, I won’t hijack the thread further. Back to the topic:
Whichever prosecutor goes after Trump, and whichever lawyer defends Trump, is set for a huge career boost. The notoriety will last a lifetime. And you can be sure half of the jurors will write tell-all memoirs.
