We had thought the “safety issues” at the Kennedy Center were caused by the Trump administration. It appears that might be the case. In a sworn declaration filed today, a legal observer said she witnessed a forklift carrying fencing drive to the north side of the building and repeatedly run into and hit the Kennedy Center’s pillars. They had to damage the building to make it unsafe so they could close it for renovations.
A legal observer did indeed write in a court document about witnessing a forklift repeatedly strike the columns of the Kennedy Center on Sept. 16, 2026. Therefore, the claim is true.
A good point. But what if the DC Mayor orders Metro Police to block the bulldozers getting near the building because of the order from the court? This isn’t like the East Wing which was on White House grounds. What if contractors realize they face the possibility of serious fines or charges from a new Congress if the midterms go the Ds way?
I think this would not be as easy as the East Wing bullshit. But hey, I could be wrong.
I remember it well. The Orange Menace is not nearly as clever as Richie Daley. I doubt DJT could imagine someone pulling something like that to block his plans.
You people don’t appreciate the brilliance of Trump’s board. Rather than having symphonies, ballet and operas which no one wants to watch, the solution is to have up-and-coming rock acts:
Like any of us are surprised at the stellar quality that would get presented before us - Lee: decades-long, spent waste-case…Stapp: my goodness the worst fuck-up of a loser and utter crapola vocalist in the Eddie “blue-eyed soul” Vedder mode, and Navarro, who almost had to put his dukes up onstage with an admittedly unhinged-as-all-get-out Perry Farrell because DN was playing too loud, or something.
No Kid Rock? (which would be the official death knell of that once-fine institution if he graced the stage)
