Pedophilia, even now when it’s dirt clear that the issue with Epstein is pedophilia, that issue merits not the slightest mention. And his opinion of Maxwell - similarly prosecuted for pedophilia - in the last we heard from him was, “I wish her well. I’m not looking for anything bad for her.”
He also said he didn’t have “the priviledge” of going to child rape island. Because that’s totally what innocent people would say after finding out their lifelong friend was running a child sex trafficking operation.
It simply amazes me that a man who lies almost as often as he breathes, can’t seem to manage to tell the obviously correct lies when confronted by such questions. How does he come up with things that are still obviously lies, but lies that make him look bad, too?
How hard is it to just say, “I had no idea this was happening, I condemn it unreservedly, and hope that the workings of the justice system bring some measure of peace to the innocent victims”?
He’s actually pretty bad at lying, despite decades of practice.
He can’t actually remember what he’s said, one day to the next.
His lies are nearly always not just to absolve himself of criminality or responsibility, but are also framed in a way to attempt to make him look great (at least, in his own mind).
True, I haven’t considered that, that could be what’s in the Epstein papers that’s incriminating of Trump but isn’t quite up to the standards of statutory rape; he could have been giving Epstein the wink and nudge about certain girls that he thought were his friend’s type.
And then Maxwell swings in to grab them…
She would certainly remember if that was a not entirely infrequent pattern.
What makes you think he’s trying hard? In fact, he basically repeated what I said. If he was involved it would have been a 24/7 story during the election. Biden sat on it. He sat on it for a reason.

Biden respected institutional norms and didn’t violate tradition for Presidents to stay out of DOJ prosecutions. The case had been prosecuted by the first Trump DOJ and the case was considered closed. For a sitting POTUS to tell DOJ to open a previously closed case would have been a major violation of norms.
It would have likely stayed this way if the Orange loudmouth hadn’t shot his mouth off during the election and whipped up the conspiracy theory base.
Biden didn’t “sit” on anything. Next time come back with something that looks like evidence he did so.
Even that can’t be counted on. I can’t find the polls, but my recollection was in 2008 when the public was sick of the Iraq war and the economy was collapsing, a large % of republicans (maybe 60% or more) still approved of W Bush.
And the GOP was far less cult like in 2008 vs 2025. So if 60% of republicans supported Bush in 2008, the % of republicans who will support Trump with an economic calamity is still probably going to be 70-80%.
Now try it again…but this time without the “wink, wink…nudge, nudge”.
You do know that having a “knowing look and a sly glance” doesn’t seem to work as well when all we can see are the vague repeated accusations, don’t you?
I would not be surprised to eventually learn that Biden “sat on it” because there are prominent Democratic donors on the list too (which there wouldn’t be if, you know, Biden made up the list). But I have no evidence for this.
And it doesn’t change the near-certainty that Trump is all over it.
I’d lean towards Biden not even knowing what’s in the files but let’s assume that it contains info against a few major Democratic donors and that Biden knew this and encouraged Garland to keep tight control of it intentionally, with the goal to hide the knowledge.

What has that got to do with whether Trump should follow through with his word to release all the documents? Pointing out that someone else was bad isn’t some magic path to being allowed to do bad things yourself.
I call that the Mom Fallacy. Imagine that there’s some kid that burned down the school. A few of the students are known to know who did it. One of those kids is being yelled at by his mom for not telling the officials who burned down the school, and he replies, “Well, Jordan didn’t tell them either!” Jordan is one of the other kids that knows the identity of the culprit.
At this point, does Mom go, “Oh, well that’s fine then. Jordan didn’t tell anyone, so obviously you don’t need to either. I’m sorry for yelling at you.”?
Or, does Mom slap her kid upside the head, say “Don’t try to blame this on Jordan.” And continue to work to get the answer?
If a Mom wouldn’t buy an argument from her kid, there isn’t some magic that suddenly makes it start to work when everyone’s adults.
Ignoring the Mom Fallacy, though, to the extent that Biden being the devil incarnate does have some bearing on Trump’s choices, if there’s a bunch of pedophile Liberal political donors who are outed in the document, doesn’t that mean, even more, that Trump should be outing them all? If Biden’s guilty of protecting left-wing pedos, how does Trump doing the same thing somehow become the right answer?
This Legal Eagle (with Spencer) video does a good job of covering all the ins and outs of convicting someone of Treason. It’s not just that Obama would likely be acquitted, it’s unlikely this would make it past a grand jury, it’s unlikely he would ever be charged, it’s unlikely a judge wouldn’t dismiss it.
Trump suggesting Obama should be charged with treason is nothing more than a distraction.
Apart from Trump appearing on every newscast telling people to forget about the Epstein case, apart from him saying “I wish her well” to convicted sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell, apart from Republicans trying to bring her before congress, apart from Trump discussing her pardon and not denying that he would pardon her, but insisting that he’s allowed to give her a pardon? Apart from all of that?
I finally got a chance to talk to my boss about this.
All he had to say, pretty much, is that Bill Clinton went to that island 27 times.
He believes there are no files just as trump told him and Bondi confirmed. He also believes that trump would never in a million years be a pedophile. He just can’t see it.
