trump jr: women who cant handle harassment should teach kindergarten

latest shit storm :MSN

Ignoring all the other stupidity of the comment for a moment, does he think kindergarten teachers don’t get harassed?

I am really getting sick and tired of the entitled assholes (rich and poor) who want to revert back to a time when men could do whatever the hell they wanted to women at any time, and not suffer any repercussions.

These sick fucks need to be shut down.

I would say a kindergarden teacher has worked a harder day every day of their working life than this entitled clown ever has.

Besides which, does anyone understand his point?

We “real men” can’t do and say horrible things to/about women anymore, so Wahhhhhhhh, that’s not Faaaair!

Something like, “Go work with little children if you can’t handle real men.” It doesn’t make a lot of sense.

For much of this country’s history and in many states, rape was a capital offense.

Curiously enough it’s been liberal courts who’ve found the death penalty for rape to be ‘disproportionate’ and ‘excessive’ and therefore unconstitutional.

At any rate it’s utter nonsense to claim (or even believe) that there was ever a time when a man could do whatever he wanted to a woman and suffer no consequences.

I wonder if Clinton would like to reconsider her compliment of Trump’s children from the last debate.

Jesus fucking christ. I can’t even.

I’m super excited how you found a way to turn this conversation into how bad liberals are, and how when I look at your u-turn it was totally not completely fucking ridiculous!

In the real world of the past, the law in most states made it impossible to find a husband guilty of raping his wife.

In the real world of the past, a man could could kill his cheating wife with almost total certainty that the jury would not convict him.

In the real world of the past, there was never a formal law stating “A husband’s right to beat his wife with a stick no thicker than his thumb” yet it was believed by many to be true and was often cited as a defense, usually successfully, for men accused of wifebeating.

In the real world of the past, many things were true of which you appear to have no memory of or are very selective about mentioning.

Actual rape is no longer punishable by death.

Therefore, we should welcome going back to a time when a wealthy man was free to stick his hand up a woman’s skirt on an airplane.

Oh, and it’s the liberals fault. And probably the Beatles.

A chip off the old block, I see. What is it with the Trump men getting on the radio and saying awful sexist crap? They are aware that their voices are being recorded, right?

I get that he’s an idiot and all, but this wasn’t part of the campaign. It was a few morons on a radio show three years ago. You’ve heard radio shows, right? If you’ve got nothing stupid to say, they mute your mike. It’s nothing, and old nothing to boot.

Stuff like this baffles me some. It’s like having a convicted serial killer, and seeing stories that his kid cheated on his taxes.

If it was just an on-air verbal jerk-off, this would probably be just a case of a wealthy, patriarchal white male asshole, perhaps just trying to get a rise out of people in typical Trump fashion. In light of everything that has come to light, however, this just seems like Donald Jr is reporting subconsciously what male-female interaction is like in the Trump Universe. Honestly, he might not actually believe there’s anything unusual or offensive about what he said. I say that not to defend him – I mean Trump world might be so goddamn insular that they might believe this is normal behavior. It might even explain why they’re so angry that this is a scandal.

In any event, these comments were obviously made at a time when they hadn’t seriously considered running for office and even if they had, they probably didn’t expect to get this far. In retrospect, it’s probably a curse, not a blessing, that they were this successful. As things stand now, their (fake) financial empire faces a very uncertain future.

No, it’s absolutely material. It reveals a culture that is, at minimum, oblivious to boundaries between appropriate and inappropriate conduct. As I said in the previous post, I think he’s actually reporting the Trump culture in a matter of fact manner. If this were taken by itself, you could possibly write it of as a shock jock session gone slightly over the edge. But in light of the mounting evidence, it corroborates a lot of what we now know about Donald Trump’s proclivities.

Well, four out of five is pretty good.

And in the real world of the past, the law in most states made it virtually impossible for the man to gain custody of his children in a divorce no matter how bad/alcoholic/addicted/irresponsible his wife was.

And in the real world of the past a woman could cheat on her husband all over town and when he found out about it and divorced her, he not only lost his kids but had to support his cheating wife for the rest of her [unmarried at least] life with alimony.

Backatcha! Women have traditionally had it better than men on some issues and worse than men on others. (And I can guarantee there were a hell of a lot more undeserving women getting alimony and child custody than were ever forcibly raped by their husbands or beaten with a stick. :roll eyes: Just because some things were grandfathered in from previous eras and/or technically permitted, they still were hardly commonplace.) I note the thrust today (and hell, for the last 50 years) is to demonize men and seek to eliminate the ways in which women were at a disadvantage in the old days while simultaneously seeking to retain most of their preferential treatment when it comes to societal and romantic mores, divorce and child custody. Funny, that.

What an idiot.
