Trump Pit Thread

I feel sad that in this classic Australian political sketch, the politician makes more sense than the leading GOP 2016 candidate:

John Clarke is a genius.

Compared to that verbal vomit, “Bushisms” sound like George Bernard Shaw.

Yeah, and get laughed off the stage. But this halfwit fascist clown somehow looks like he has an actual shot at the most important public office in world, and that is a problem.

I know Bricker doesn’t need me to defend him. But what other proof of his non-support of Trump would you need?

I’m quite sure he is in no way a supporter of Trump.

Mainly, I’m hoping he manages to come up with some solid evidence supporting his allegation that “many” examples of criticism of Trump on the SDMB are invalid in some way.

+100 !
.

All true, perhaps, but “outsider appeal” does not in any way qualify one to run a government competently, and neither does a career in business, successful or not, and Trump’s personality is completely unsuited to the job and sets a bad example for the whole world. Shaking up the Republican Party is not quite important enough to warrant the risks a Trump Administration represents.

Via Climate Cocks, a commenter links to a clip showing Trump in a town hall in New Hampshire answering a question from a League of Women Voters girl asking about what would Trump do about reducing pollution that causes climate change…

Trump turns around and asks “who believes in global warming?” (not what was asked, the question was what would you do, you cad…)

Turns out that only one raised his hand. And facing the LWV lady he noted that only one and her did believe [Trump then dismissed her].

And yet as Gallup Reported in the Article:

To me it is not a coincidence that it is about 40% of Republicans are the ones who are supporting this yahoo.

Correction: that woman questioning Trump was from The League of Conservation not the LWV.

Trump recently polled at 53% support of Republican primary voters. This marks the first time Trump’s polled over 50% since he announced his candidacy.

In the other thread I was referring to all voters, but even here this is not what I was referring to:

As Trump will get less opponents chances are that he will get more votes, but so far the average remains from 34-40%

And still** that leaves almost 100% of Trump and company in that town hall as ignoramuses**, it is clear that the ignorance levels about global warming are not much different in other venues.

Middle fingers are flying around Trump Tower.

The Trump surge is leading some Pub pundits to admit that “every bad Democrats have said about the GOP is basically true.”

And the prophecy has been fulfilled.

I think we can add fools guinea to this list of supporters.

Nice. Very nice. I now deeply regret the lack of avatars.

The Economist Intelligence Unit’s new global risk assessment (scale of 1 to 25):

They now consider a Trump presidency an equal or greater threat to the global economy than jihadi terrorism, and just slightly a lesser threat than an EU/Eurozone breakup.

Reasons given:

I’ve seen some ISIS members quoted as saying that although Donald Trump is an infidel dog who will perish by the sword when Allah wreaks his holy vengeance upon America and her Zionist brethren, they nonetheless enjoy seeing him shake up the traditional political establishment and admire him for speaking his mind.

 Heed the word of the Prophet Citrusseninsis as revealed in the Holy Rutacoran, infidels! God is Orange! Also Tart and Juicy!

Very tart.
