Trump releases argument that the 2020 election was stolen

I haven’t seen anything about this on the news. Interesting

What’s interesting about it? Seems like the typical nonsense Trump puts out every day.

I got through about two paragraphs of that glurge and backed out. He is a truly deluded person.

It’s interesting because he’s been promising to deliver his proof of a stolen election for a long time, and this appears to be it.

Don’t mean to threadshit - my point is that it’s not at all surprising that it’s nothing new and just more nonsense.

Good Morning @CalMeacham, for P&E we do strongly encourage more than one empty content line and then links and a quote. Some short summary of the links and/or why you think this matters should have been in the OP.

Please put a little more effort into P&E OPs in the future.

Moderating done.

What I find interesting is

  • there is no mention of it in any news outlet.
  • the report itself is not explicitly dated
  • the authors of the report are not listed
  • The Gateway Pundit (I just find it interesting anyone would use anything from TGP as a cite of anything)
  • At best, it seems to be a compilation of anomalies, typical of what you could find when giving a close examination of any large dataset. Nowhere does it identify the source of there problems, nor does it prove the result was a stolen election.
  • Finally, none of these types of problems were found in any of the states that Trump won. None. Heck, there weren’t even these types of problems found in states that Trump lost by a large margin (where you would have thought election shenanigans would have been rampant and obvious). Nope, these counting errors and problems with verification only occurred here. Or, at least, in the interest of ELECTION INTEGRITY, we are only interested in those that occurred in Georgia, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Michigan.

If this was something to pay attention to, I think these issues would need to be addressed. Otherwise, it’s just old man mad at a cloud.

What gets me about the stolen election nonsense is that, since each state separately certifies its own election results, in order for the Democrats to have stolen the election, it would have been not just the ‘Steal of the Century’. Since there were 5 swing states with stolen election results according to that document: Georgia, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arizona and Michigan, it would have been 5 separate ‘Steals of the Century’. And a few of those states had Republican governments, such as Georgia, where Brad Raffensperger, loyal trumpette Republican and Secretary of State at the time, refused to play along with trump’s demand for him to find 11.780 votes.

I asked a trumper once “why would loyal trump Republican Brad Raffensperger, as Georgia SOS the exact person in a position to intervene, not have gone along with the trump admin’s wishes, if there was the slightest evidence the election were truly stolen?” Can anybody guess what the answer was? I’ll spoiler-blur it:

“He was paid off by the Democrats”.

Everyone knows that lack of evidence is evidence of a cover up.

What are the chances that he just typed “Proof that the 2020 election was stolen” into ChatGPT?

I dipped a toe into the perilous waters of that PDF.

Aside from it having the distinct flavor of Dinesh D’Souza’s “2000 Mules” work of fiction, I simply Googled two email addresses from one of the documents – 78pp PDF cited in the PDF. I was curious to know with whom we’re dealing:

Read into it what you will. I am as thoroughly nauseated by that little foray as I am unsurprised at what I found.

I can go no further. I have my own well-being to think of

So, pretty typical “proof” as we’ve come to expect from a conspiracy theorist. Unsurprising that the Conspiracy Theorist In Chief would produce nothing more.

As pathetic as this effort is, I’m actually surprised he bothered to deliver something he promised months ago. Most of his promises along these lines go unfulfilled entirely.

Trump is such a pathetic clown. This is following in his way of Say It At A Press Conference, But Never In A Courtroom.

Slight disagree. This needs to be pushed back-on immediately before it takes root. Of course, the MAGAt brigade is beyond reach, but as this gets discussed on the usual news outlets and more people hear about it, and don’t bother looking into it further, the more it may be accepted. I hope it’s covered widely and debunked (again, and more forcefully).

I’m getting the sneaking suspicion that I can’t trust anything Donald Trump says.

The proper response would be “Then the Republicans should have paid him more.”

Yeah - the Republicans were trying to do it on the cheap, what with the whole pressure campaign thing. Shoot, woulda been easier to just pay some people off, and make that vote shortage go away. I thought The Donald was supposed to be some fancy mob-boss. Pssht.

Putin didn’t give lil’ Donnie his allowance that week.

I bet he just gave the assignment to some underling, and that’s what they came back with. Trump, being incapable of understanding it, probably just released it unread.
