On the contrary, as you’ll see from almost any other of the innumerable threads on this board, this place is absolutely chock-full of discussion and thoughts counter to one’s own.
But you don’t provide much opportunity for genuine discussion and diverse opinion (at least, not rational fact-based discussion and opinion) with a claim like “It was reasonable and credible to doubt Obama’s citizenship credentials from 2008 to 2011”. There’s not much that rational, fact-based debaters can say about that except “Wow, you say really dumb shit”.

I blame dasmoocher, who invited Trump supporters into this thread to explain themselves. The problem is, when Trump sent his supporters, he wasn’t sending his best, he wasn’t sending his brightest…or was he?
Heck, I’m curious what a “best and brightest” Trump voter would look like. Surely there’s someone in America who’s voting from Trump for something other than the following reasons:
- A deep-seated hatred and/or mistrust of Hillary Clinton.
- A desire to burn America politically in the hope that something better will rise from the ashes.
Who, if anyone, is a positive Trump voter with genuine reasons to support him, preferably someone who is open to the idea that their views might be incorrect. as, really, any intelligent person should be.

I’ve been trying to discuss things with you. Specifically, why you continued to doubt Obama’s birthplace after he released his birth certificate and a mountain of other evidence in 2008. There was no evidence he was born anywhere else. And yet you admit you didn’t believe it until 2011.
Why? There was a mountain of evidence for his birth in Hawaii, publicly available in 2008, including his birth certificate. Why wasn’t that good enough for you?

I would like a Trumpette to step up and explain why she/he believes that a man who has spent his whole life trying to increase his own personal wealth and fame would suddenly have a change of heart once he took the oath of office and work to help others instead? Why do you believe the “deal” he has made with you supporters will end up any different than any of his previous deals where, once he got what he wanted, he did his best not fulfill his end of the bargain?
Wasn’t this thread in great debates until Tom moved it to the pit so that people could insult Trump supporters, though? So that’s kind of an unfair statement.

HeweyLogan didn’t jump into this thread until it had been in the Pit for almost a week, and in his first post here he called someone a motherfucker. The fact that he’s now whining about not having a “discussion” and that people are being mean to him makes him a hypocrite as well as a fuckwit. He wasn’t dragged into the Pit against his will.
If he wants to discuss his views in a civil fashion, there are dozens of thread already in Elections, or he could start a new one.
