Might go more like Agnew; Pence could resign before Trump resigns/is removed, and a new VP is appointed.
Not knowing all the players very well, I’m curious as to who everyone thinks would get the VP position in that case.

Jared Kushner?
I doubt he’d get approved by the House and Senate.
For what it’s worth, I’m hoping for this with you.
The only way Trump quits, is if he can convince himself he can spin doing so as a victory.
He’s too good for you. Yeah, that’s it, too good for you. You don’t deserve a president as great as he was.
Melanie is a lot of things but stupid isn’t one of them. Also forget all these attempts to portray her as the pretty princess locked in the tower by the evil orange ogre.
I doubt she loves him, but he provides her with a great life and lots of money.
Until the date on the prenup is up, she’s going to be married to him. That said, once it’s up…
This is not a great life, she’s lost all the freedom she previously had as the wife of a billionaire. Being first lady is a hard job that she never had any desire to take. She is locked up in a tower with no real choice.
We have an agreement!
Do you know who else said his people weren’t good enough to deserve him?
Bannon already had some practice spinning political defeat into victory.
Jesus, but I don’t think it’s an apt comparison.
Don’t be deliberately obtuse, clearly he’s talking about Ted Cruz. As a prediction, it gives us all a cheerful prospect to look forward to.
General Bison?
“It is not impossible to rule Italians, but it would be useless.”
She has options, including very lucrative ones in the celebrity media market, but does not choose to exercise them. No, she did not choose to be First Lady, but she can choose *not *to be. So my sympathies are limited.
Same here!
As I said in another thread, if somehow Trump can cobble together The Ultimate Deal (his words, and believe me, I hate quoting them) and get some kind of fairly solid <something> going between the Israelis and the Palestinians, something that HE can label “Peace” (and get a critical mass of media to agree with that label), THEN I can see him resigning.
He will have achieved apotheosis*, and then-- and only then-- can he leave office a winner [this is the ONE condition for him to resign], trailing clouds of glory, devil take the hindmost, “who’s a [del]90[/del] 290-lb weakling with tiny hands” now, etc., etc.
She’d be perfect for Dancing with the Stars. Too bad Marla has already been on the show, else they could have all three Trimp-wives on at the same time! And he could be one of the guest judges.
Heidi Klum has been hosting “Project Runway” for long enough already, too.
