Trump's Executive Order on Immigration - Let it Rip Dopers

You need to talk to a counselor. Reacting like this (crying, hating anyone who doesn’t do what you want) isn’t healthy. You are the miserable one. Figure out why that is and has nothing to do with Trump.

Can’t believe the overaction and hysterics. Before having nervous breakdowns over what you believe or fear MIGHT happen down the road, let the awful thing (whatever it is) actually happen before you emotionally react. Responding maturely and intelligently is recommended over temper tantrums and known to be effective.

The Trump supporters, Trump non-haters at least, whatever, are disgusted with the tantrums, theatrics, hate spewing, business burning, anarchist behavior of the liberals and their Hollywood bomb-dreaming jerkoffs.

CALM DOWN and act like adults.

You must be proud having Madonna as your mouthpiece. Gawd.

Tell me about it, Trump is crying because the judge is not a Mexican or a woman. It is very disorienting for him when his usual counters are not available for him to use.

“this so-called judge”? Sad retort.

Well, thank you for showing all that you do not know me, I actually think what Trump is doing is very bad, but I’m not letting that take me down, I actually like the challenge to do some ignorance fighting and I’m not sad right now.

And: an actual awful thing made by Trump took place already. So, besides being an ignoramus about what I feel right now you are also wrong about that bit of yours implying that awful things have not happened already.

Why? Republicans doing it is what got Trump elected. Maybe it will help get rid of him.

Dang, making a correction of my post in bold and underline:

"I will have to note this: why not? The reality is that there was no really good reason to think that the early judgments were NOT very limited in scope (and many reports made that point); the executive order was AFAIK only amended by the word of Trump and his crew.

A word that has very little value and AFAIK no formal change was made to the rule. This explains why the common theme on reports about what was going on usually referred to “it seems” “looks like” the green card issue was resolved. In reality it was not really clear that that was the case as no new official executive order was made to tell us so. A change of an order just by the unclear word of the executive with no official paper signed to support it gets you that, I think.

Hence the need for a judge to be more clear about what was wrong and the reasons to stop the order, and AFAIK since the original order was not officially changed or a new executive order made to clarify the situation then the order deserved to be admonished whole.

Of course, that is why we have checks and balances… Or at least I hope we do."

So, you’ve joined this board solely to get that off your chest? Good for you.

I must point out, however: Madonna certainly doesn’t speak for me, nor, AFAIK, anyone else posting to this thread. I have to think as well that not a single poster here is likely to have ever burned down a business, and while a few self-avowed anarchists have occasionally posted here, I doubt you’ll find any of them hanging around at the moment.

So, as long as we’re all agreed to be adults, lets not exaggerate the political views of board members beyond all recognition, OK?

Anyway, I’m not seeing the “overreaction and hysterics” you are referring to, at least not in the last few posts to this thread. Who, specifically, are you talking about? Are you objecting to posts in this thread or some other? Name a couple names, or posts by number, please.

I have to add that I do put that waiver the White House* released to “solve” the green card issue as just the “the word of the executive”.

  • I was making a mistake there and the auto correct attempted to turn that into “white horse” that sounded better :), although I would prefer to think that what Trump did came from a horse’s ass.

nvm

I’m very proud of Madonna. Good for her, standing up the way she has.

But she’s not really our leader. Mouthpiece? I don’t know, man.

What’s the technical definition of a failed state? I don’t know.
FSI now calls its index the “Fragile States index.”

**Iraq **didn’t fail, it was assassinated.
Syria is in a post-famine multi-sided civil war, so, fair enough. The government does still exist.
Libya may be more the former than the latter, depending on how stable Qaddafi was before NATO blew up he country. I’ll say “assassinated.” Libya doesn’t seem to make the top 20 of the FSI.
Sudan is a “failed state”? They still have a government, don’t they? ETA: But apparently the Sudanese say they are: http://www.sudantribune.com/Sudan-among-world-s-top-failed,42975
Yemen, I don’t know, I guess, but aren’t they basically trying to hold off a Saudi-USA incursion? That can’t help.

So, OK, “failed” or “fragile,” apparently officially all but Iran and maybe Libya. But at least two of them directly because the USA invaded and wrecked them.

“You can’t trust them, because we showed we hate them. We’re so bad to them, you can’t trust them.” This is Trumpian logic, John. You must be proud.

Are you kidding me?

OK, let’s say I have the constitutional right to kick your dog for some incomprehensible reason. So I do, and I also kick your sister. The courts step in. Even if I later say I’ll stop kicking your sister, but I’m appealing the judgment that I must stop kicking your dog; I still kicked your sister.

Some of us had a pretty rough Election Night, but we’ve moved on. Most of the tantrums in this thread come from Trump’s Sore Winners. (Do his Tweets & other juvenile outbursts seem reasonable to you?)

Many recent posts come from GIGObuster, well known for being well-balanced. He’s famous for detailed, reference-filled replies to Climate Change Deniers–who many of us would dismiss as fools. He’s using that same intelligence here.

There are lots more voices speaking against Trump than Madonna. And using All Caps to tell us to calm down is pretty silly.

AMERICA: Closed During Remodeling

That’s all this is. Only it is just one door of several with that sign.

I was wondering if our so-called president might be liable for contempt of court and jail time, but I think I was having a brain fart and flashing back to Thailand, where any criticism of a judge, ANY criticism at all, is a prison offense. That stems from the fact that the king approves the judges, and even if it is just a rubber stamp, criticism of a judge is taken to be criticism of the king’s judgment. This is one time I’m sorry it’s not like that here, because I’d love to see Trump cooling his heels in a jail cell.

But still, his crybaby attitude at not getting his way with judges is very unpresidential and beneath the dignity of his office, to say the least.

Oh, look. Another new poster that pops in just to defend Trump. Even knows which forum they can troll in and not get immediately banned.

It’s not even like it’s offering anything new to the table. We debunked this shit before it even made it over here. And someone like this isn’t interested in changing their mind. Heck, it’s not even trying to make any actual argument about the topic of the thread!

I get tired of using the ignore feature. Why can’t this board be harder to troll?

this can be said to be true although what would have happened if the americans had not invaded, and the arab spring came in 2011…

No one blew up the country but the criminal Qadhaffi regime. The French instigated intervention for air cover only avoided a situation in the Libya only looking more like the Syrian than the present Libya. The mass uprising against the regime Qadhafi was a thing 100 percent internal.

the north Sudan is not in the excellent shape in some ways, but it is the christian South Sudan that is actually failed due to the bad behaviors of the independence leadership.

The collapse of the Yemani state comes from the arab spring and the ejecting of the Salah regime. It is since then in a state of semi chaos.

the americans are not to blame for this directly, the anti-shia extremism of the present Saudi leadership is to blame for their intervention on the side of the Sunni supremacists in the Yemen, against the Ziaidi Houthi… (that is Ziadi shia, very different from the twelvers) who it is very ironic used to be the allies of the royalist Saudis in the influence in Yemen.

The reasons and the driving forces for the conflict in the Yemen are not tied to the americans at all. If there is a blame it is for being quiet and winking at the Saudi support for the Sunni supremacism buying the bad excuse of the anti Iran anti shia bigotry of the current dominant saudi royals.

Because of the hear no evil see no evil pretensions for the tea room dialogues.

The introduction of Madonna into the argument is momentarily confusing me.

More disturbingly, he appears to also operates under the philosophy of “Apres moi, le deluge.

A bit incoherent here. I’ll try to parse it.

Are we supposed to keep our mouths shut (as Bannon admonished the media) while The Donald works his magic & installs the New Order? Do those other “doors” represent European countries with busy racist/nationalist parties?

Nope, we won’t shut up. In fact, the more complaints we hear from people like you, the more we’ll speak out. And contribute to threatened causes & plan for the next election.
