Generally speaking, it applies to the majority, and I don’t just mean on this particular site.
I remember when I posted my Trump predictions here more than a year ago, and I remember the sorts of replies that it got.
I have never seen a group of so close minded, ignorant, stubborn, rude, arrogant and dead wrong people before.

What is the purpose of the “self-proclaimed” modifier? Do you think it’s somehow an insult (it’s not)? Do you think big words make you sound smarter (they don’t)? Are you using it simply because you’ve seen it used elsewhere?
In India (where I am at and I haven’t ever been to USA), we have people who call themselves secular but some of these actually are just dishonest, selfish, Islam-appeasing pseudo-seculars. These people are the real threat to true secularism.
I think a true liberal may disagree with Mr. Trump but would never act in dishonest, angry, desperate ways like some of my beloved fellow dopers act.

Instead of labelling Mr. Trump or Yours truly (someone who doesn’t blindly oppose Trump on everything) as a bigot or racist, people should actually start accepting the fact that Islam is a poison, different from any other religion, all of which have reformed and are largely compatible with each other in 21st century world.

This bigoted crap completely fails to sway most people who have actually personally interacted with Muslims, most of whom (just like most members of any religion) are fundamentally decent and courteous and have no wish to harm anyone.

You think I haven’t interacted? 15% of Indians are Muslims, means 1 in every 6.67 people. Separate Muslims as individuals from Islam as ideology. Don’t be confused.
Islam is poison which causes bloodshed, division, backwardness in the society… It’s not Muslims’ fault that they are born into Islam, rather they are trapped in it…Islamic extremists/fundamentalists/terrorists, who vastly outnumber such people in other religions (there is just no comparison), will not be such backward extremists if they were not born into Islam.
