Well, I get that. Trump is not very conservative by any historical standard. He’s very dangerous, and very malicious. But he’s not very conservative. (of course, Harris is not “very liberal” but it seems most people know that)
Would a daughter-in-law be favored over one of his sons? And, BTW, I don’t expect his MAGA movement to survive until 2028. My guess (perhaps it’s a hope) is that it will fizzle out over the next couple of years.
While not as a new Cabinet member, he will be a senior counselor for trade and manufacturing:
Sen. John Cornyn now says Kash Patel has the votes to become the next FBI Director.

I somehow prefer the way he spells his first name on his e-commerce web site:
hahaha
Frank Perdue is set to be the ambassador to CHINA. At least it’s not another TV guy, and maybe he’ll push back on tariffs? And Trump’s pick for the ambassador to Chile is a Border Patrol guy with no experience. Unsurprising.
Well, to be fair, Chile is about 90% border, so he’s got that going for him.
David Perdue (former Senator), not Frank (deceased long-serving CEO of Perdue Farms).
As a lawmaker, Long co-sponsored legislation that aimed to wipe out much of the tax code.
In making the announcement, Trump praised Long’s “32 years of experience running his own businesses in Real Estate and, as one of the premier Auctioneers in the Country.”
Basically sounds unqualified to run the IRS.
It takes a tough man to make a tender China.
Great…with mentions of Perdue, Trump and China, I now want orange chicken.
Too bad he’s deceased. I could see Frank Perdue as ambassador to Turkey. He’s got lots of experience with them.
And Biden is apparently mulling over a blanket pardon for the 50 people on Patel’s hit list that he was dumb enough to put in his book about retribution on the “deep state”. There would be blowback, of course, and accusations of cover-ups. If he doesn’t, then the FBI will be bogged down in investigations that will go nowhere, while domestic federal crimes will skyrocket. On the one hand, Biden has nothing to lose by doing this, but the D party may suffer. On the other hand, the resulting crime spike may finally show MAGAs that his domestic policies are a major fail.
Kash Patel says he believes a lot of the Qanon movement.
Trump’s pick for Surgeon General literally killed her father when she was 13.
I cordially invite her to the wardrobe malfunction thread so she can share about the time she overstuffed the right cup of her bra.
Paywall
Summary: When she was 13 years old, she needed a pair of scissors out of a tackle box on a shelf above where her dad was sleeping, but while reaching for it in total darkness she knocked the box over, which somehow caused a loaded handgun to fall out onto the bed, fire itself fatally shooting her dad in the head, then fell onto the floor, after which she picked up the gun, put it on the nightstand, and posed her dad on the bed and covered his head with pillows before she called 911.
That’s the way she tells it, anyway.
