Trust the CGI--post *only* once, please

If Im using NEtscape & I can’t see the post then I just open IE & there it is.

By the way, guys, everyone did a great job during the time when the board was running really slow a couple days ago. I don’t see any multiposts at all! (I’m sure there are some, though, I just haven’t spotted 'em ) Thank you!

[If you do see any multiposts, just email me or David with the URL of the thread if you are so inclined, and we’ll clean it up. Although if a bunch of people comment on the multi I might not remove it, since it’ll makes the later posts make no sense.]

Hey, you’re preaching to the converted, Mods–the other day I got disconnected twice, because of incoming phone calls, right after hitting the Submit button, and both posts went through eventually.

So hallelujah! I believe! I believe in the CGI!

And what I do to pass the time while I’m waiting for my post to post, is pretend like I’m actually doing some work around here…

Let’s put THIS pile of papers over HERE, and THIS one over HERE…

Minor nitpick: E-mail both Gaudere and me – you have better chances of one of us seeing it that way.

id suggest letting us delete our own posts or putting in a 60 second time limit before another post

                :)

I am extremely new to this and I would like to apologize for my recent multi posts. I had no idea that it would do that! I did not do it intentionally. I am still learning. Thank you for the useful information. I know now…lol

BUMP

David B and Gaudere, my sincerest apologies for the lengthy multi-post I had in the Gay Guy thread. My computer was doing things at work today that it hadn’t done before, so I couldn’t recognize them as telltale signs that things only looked bad.

Mea culpa.

And a reminder to everyone:

TRUST THE CGI!

This has been a recording.

I do trust the CGI really I do. Yet the CGI betrayed me… By trusting it, I was unwittingly tricked into double posting. I got one of those flood control messages, wait and repost. I did, and what do you know? My post showed up twice. What the F.
Damn CGI, you give in an inch and it takes a mile. Technology, why have you failed me??!!

I’ve never gotten a “flood control” message, so maybe I’m wrong, but I thought that message comes up to prevent you from double posting. So if you click “submit” once, and then a short time later click again, you’ll get the flood control message. If you get the message I thought you were just supposed to check and see if your first message showed, and if it didn’t, then you repost.

I beliee it cam up because I posted two very quick messages in two seperate threads. I posted them within about thirty seconds of each other, or tried to. The Flood message came the first time I posted. IT says "wait 60 seconds and then repost. ??

The boards running slow again, which means posts won’t show and people are inclined to multipost. You guys have been doing great–this is just a gentle reminder. If you do multipost, if you send David and me an email it’ll make it easier for us to find and fix it. I’ve notified Tuba about the board acting up, so hopefully it’ll be fixed soon.

No, I’m not. I’m a conservative, Catholic, capitalist tree-hugger.

And I like dolphins, too.

Seven out, line away, pay the don’ts and last come.

Um, how do you know the socialist trees from the capitalist trees?

That’s easy Socialist trees have red leaves. Capitlist trees have green leaves.

A lot more socialist trees in the fall, eh?

Exactly. Around the time of the aniversery of the russian revolution, all the trees show their true revolutionarry spirit.

And what of the orange, yellow, and brown leafed trees?

Well. The yellow leaves are proletarians who have been decieved by the capitalist class. They know that capitalism sucks, but they can’t think of an alternative. The orange leaves are proletarians engaged in struggle against capitalism, but they haven’t made the leap to communism yet. A good example would be workers who have engaged in a general strike, maybe even taken up arms against the state, but haven’t made the leap to communism. Brown leaves are like the Brown shirts, fascist. Hope I could answer all of your questions.

Karl Marx would be proud, my son. Are dormant (leafless) trees in league with Iosef “kill 'em all” Stalin? Or silent victims or the revolution?
