Trying to find a parody song of John Anderson's 'Swingin'

Source material - - YouTube

So. I’ve been trying to find this song on and off for a very long time. My dad first asked me about it because he thought it was funny and wanted to hear it again but every time I search the web for it I come up blank.

I’ve only ever found one mention of it online, right here. I showed this to dad and he says it’s the right song, although he can’t be certain the lyrics are 100% accurate. All he knows for sure is the girl in the song is very large and breaks the porch swing when she sits on it, hence the title ‘Standin’

I have searched Google for variations of these lyrics endlessly and found nothing. Cletus T Judd did a rap version of Swingin’ but that’s not what I’m looking for. I can’t find it under Pinkard and Bowden or Ray Stevens either. Dad’s pretty sure he heard it sometime around the mid to late 80’s.

I hope someone can help with this. It’s largely unimportant in the grand scheme of things, but still kind of frustrating. Thanks in advance.

Becky Bazar did a parody called Bakin’.

Fattylicious did a parody called Screamin’.

Parody Princess did one called Swingin’ in the 90s.

Nothing so far on Standin’.

Al Mahan - Swingin’ is about the biblical hanging of Haman.

Didn’t find anything, but the same question was asked on yahoo six years ago with no answers.

Bama Jim Mann sang the swinging parody Standin’

Fastdrivinwoman, you totally fucking rock! Thanks for posting this and welcome to the Dope!

I was unable to find the song online at YouTube or anywhere else I would consider safe to click “play” but there are copies for sale & the ebay link has a clip that’s over a minute long, eh:

Welcome to the Boards!

Okay, I know this is an old thread but I have been looking for the parody of this song called Stinkn’

Part of the song is… warning somewhat X-Rated

Brother is on the front porch eatn’ sister’s pie,
Mamas in the kitchen smokn’ gettn’ high,
Father is in the backyard playn’ with his garden hose,
And me and Charlotte Johnson, well we were just a stinkn’.

All with the twangy sound of the original song.

Anybody else heard it? I remember it from the late 80s/early 90s.

I can only imagine that a parody of a song named “Swingin’” would be absolutely X rated. I mean, that’s the lowest of the low hanging fruit I’d think.

If I was at all talented at that kind of thing, I’d give it a shot.

Reviving the topic … I was at an out-of-town karaoke bar one time in the late ‘90s when someone did a version which I guess would have been called "Screwin’" … the singer wouldn’t share the lyrics with me back then, and I’ve never heard or seen reference to it since then. Anyone here maybe know something about it?

You can PM me if you’re reluctant to put it up on the site here.

Twang-in would work. Hard core country with steel guitars.

Substitute it for Swing-in

I recall a coworker, around 1987 or so, singing a parody of the song. It was just one verse, and I don’t know if he made it up himself or heard it somewhere:

I was ridin’ on my 10-speed, when my supporter* broke
I don’t have to tell you what got hung up in the spokes
Cuz it was swingin’…
