Okay, I know you guys can do this, I’ve seen the miracles you work…
The title of it was “Free”. It’s a picture book, put out in the late '60s - early '70s. I have no idea who the author was.
The story was about a girl named Free, who lived with a bunch of other children in a walled garden, where they played happily. There was something about a rose - maybe there weren’t any roses in the garden, only outside the wall? Or there was a rose in the garden, but they weren’t allowed to touch it? Regardless, Free wound up letting all the children out of the garden, to the outside which had thousands and thousands of roses.
It was very hippie-dippy in the art style, as befitted the times.
I’ve tried to look it up, but I keep getting FREE CHILDREN’S BOOKS!!! stuff. :smack:
Can anyone help?
