Trying to ID female stand up comedian with high pitched voice who works blue

I was listening to her on XM comedy channel and she had a hilarous take on men bragging about their penises, and what it would sound like if women bragged about thier vaginas the same way.

IIRC she’s a small woman with a VERY high pitched voice (almost cartooney) and she tends to work blue. Anyone know her name?

Hmm. Not a lot to go on, but I thought of Maria Bamford.

Is this her? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOity0BJe3s

On thread title alone it sounds like Maria Bamford. Heck, I can’t even name all that many stand up comics.

Marc

Probably not her, but the “cartoony” description made me think of Victoria Jackson.

ETA: Googling around, I see that she’s consistently referred to as a devout Christian, so OK, probably not.

Sarah Silverman works very blue, and she has a very distinctive voice, but I wouldn;t consider it especially high pitched.

The “high-pitched voice” makes me think it might be Felicia Michaels. She has a very distinct voice.

ETA: Found video , might not be work-safe (language)

That’s it! Thanks!

What does “works blue” mean?

-FrL-

Uses profanity.

Oh.

…you mean… there are stand up comedians who don’t use profanity?..

I mean, I’m not suprised if there are some, I guess, but I would have thought the non-profane ones were the ones that would need a special term.

-FrL-

Is that term related to “blue laws” at all? Does this mean the phrase “to talk a blue streak” has layers of meaning? or means something else entirely? Uh-oh…

Sure! There’s Bill Cosby and there’s . . . well . . . Bill Cosby.

Brian Regan

Bill Engvall and Rita Rudner don’t really work blue. I don’t think Jeff Dunham really does, either.

Paula Poundstone gets a little tinge sometimes.

Ron White, on the other hand.

And Jerry Seinfeld

Felicia Michaels has also posed nude… and she is hot!

I think the modern definition of “works blue” would be something more along the lines of, “regularly delves into the sort of topics that would have a TMI tag in MPSIMS.”

Jeff Dunham does use a modest amount of profanity in his act. Bill Engvall will occasionally touch on sexual matters, but apart from that, he keeps things fairly clean.

Some clean standup comics include ventriloquists David Pendleton and Taylor Mason.

Broken link, s’il vous plait? (My google-fu is not strong today.)
