Trying To Identify This Horror/Suspense TV/Streaming Show, Description In OP

Mrs. Homie and I watched this a few years ago. I don’t know if there were only a few episodes, or if we lost interest. The protagonist was a young woman, in an unhappy relationship with her boyfriend. They meet at a restaurant where she plans to break up with him, only he produces a ring. She turns him down, he’s crushed, and as he’s getting into his car to drive off, he’s run over or something and killed. So then she has to play the role of the grieving widow (of a sort), and she can’t bear to tell the man’s mom, who was extremely invested in their relationship, that she bad broken up with him minutes before he died.

Does this ring a bell for anyone?

There was a similar scene in the Netflix series The Haunting of Bly Manor. I’m not sure about the bit with the mom, but the rest sounds close.

Yeah I was wondering how to respond with the title since that scene is a pretty big spoiler, but without seeing the title you wouldn’t know what show it was from. I’ve edited my post to blur the title just in case.
