Many years ago I saw this drama on PBS. (Well, I’m 99% sure it was PBS.)
The backstory was that a teenage boy who worked for a grocery store was struck by a car (and killed IIRC) while gathering carts in the parking lot. It was a two-character play – the police officer investigating the incident and the woman who drove the car.
I know this makes it sound like kind of a yawn, but I remember it as being very well-written and well-acted, and a very effective drama. Any idea of what the title was and who played the parts?
