Sad news indeed. And way too early.
It’s been a shockingly long time since I last checked the 'Dope, but I had a feeling I needed to come back. Now I know why. Not only do I encounter this spiffy new board, I come across this very sad news. TubaDiva will be deeply missed. My sincere condolences to all those who knew and loved her.

I do know the situation basslinemz refers to and Jenny’s mother really could use some help from those who can afford to give (Jenny did a lot for her mother, who has medical issues). But we need some direction. Mark, can you help us?

Seeing so many “It’s been a while since we’ve seen…” notices is heartwarming. This place has really meant a lot to so many over the decades, and it’s hard to believe what a huge part of it was due to TubaDiva. I’ve had very little interaction with her, and was just oblivious to the amount of love and effort she poured into this place.
Moderating: a moderator has already said to keep sniping out of this thread. I really don’t want to have to moderate this thread any more. Can’t people behave in this one thread at least? Any more and I’ll be sorely tempted to just call it trolling and suspend until we sort it out later. Eventually.

Unfortunately, I’ve got nothing new to add - I’ve reached out to Jenny’s mother, who is still devastated over this, to offer whatever assistance she might need, but she’s not really ready for that yet. It may take a little time to make sure we do things right and give her family the time they need - I will update on this thread once I’ve got something more, hopefully soon.
Heartbreaking. Nice to see some ancient names popping up (Satan OMG), but wish the circumstances were better. She was the spine of the board.
McCaff …7 years! So cool that TD’s memorial thread has drawn back so many long absent posters. I bet that would have pleased her.
Oh my God. I just talked to Jenny like a week ago on Facebook and, just like always, she helped to make everything right. She was absolutely a force to be reckoned with. To say she’d be sorely missed is a huge understatement, but I cannot thing of anything more befitting. My sincerest condolences to all of her loved ones… there’ll never be another like her. May she rest in peace.

I am so sorry. I also recently found out that Maggie the Ocelot passed (I was pretty out of it during my own parallel battle). Nothing like getting attached to Dopers to be reminded of the finite time we are allotted. I really appreciate having you all in my life this way. Tuba Diva was a big part of our online society here and will be sorely missed. And goodbye, Maggie.

Logging on here for the first time in many months, and just hearning this very sad news right now. As shocked and sad as I am (and then shocked again to be so saddened by the death of someone I didn’t know), this sentence touched me tremendously:
