ETA: it doesn’t even have to be in a severance agreement. I doubt he was an at-will employee, but instead had signed a detailed contract. And I’m certain the contract he operated under had already contemplated the terms of any dissolution.
Maybe there was something found in discovery for the Dominion case that either wasn’t made public or that Fox never handed over, and that made it impossible for Carlson to stay at Fox. And knowing working conditions at Fox, some type of sexual harassment seems like a good possibility.
I predict he’ll team up with Mike Lindell and start hawking a MyTesticalTanning machine.
You’re assuming OAN and NewsMax aren’t already heading towards bankruptcy for this very reason. Lost a bit in the wake of Fox settling with Dominion for 3/4 of a billion dollars is that Dominion still has suits pending against Dominion and Newsmax for $1.6 billion each, along with Mike Lindell, Rudy Giuliani and Sydney Powell as individuals. And there’s still Smartmatic’s suits against Fox and friends, and they’re asking for $2.7 billion.
It’s sad when you have more money than God, and your idea of fun is to be a right-wing asshole. I never seek him out, but I see way too much of him, with his squeaky sing-song voice and the puzzled pee hole expression he makes when attentively listening. Pull a fucking Branson, and do something interesting with your worthless life. Prick.

My take is Carlson has no intention of being Trump’s running mate. He intends to be the R nominee in 2024.

- Huge MAGA / pwn the libs street cred? Check!
- A shameless self-promoter? Check and check!
- Willing to sell himself to shadowy uber-insider capitalists? Check!
- Willing to stay bought, not run off-script later? Check!
- Not yet an indicted ciminal? Check!
- A raging totalitarian inside with a big ego outside? Check and double-check!
Seems like all the things that ought to make a winning nominee in 2024.

I was going to take a break from SBMB for a bit, but seeing this on the news, I had to come back. I’m shocked. I never expected Tucker to leave or be fired from Fox. He makes them so much money, and that’s a huge platform, something not easily duplicated elsewhere. There has to be more to it than Dominion. I cannot imagine they’re pinning that on him and him alone. They whole network knew what they were doing. No, I think there’s a scandal brewing and it must be bad for them to want to get out ahead of it.
Leaving to spend more time with his ego.

In lieu of red hats, the immense crowd of knuckledraggers at his rallys will be proudly, defiantly, sporting oversized novelty bowties with that slogan. It will be an inspiring sight.
Sure. But I’m surprised based on what we currently know that the head in question is Tucker. I mean he’s still their most popular asset, which is why I think there’s something coming that is going to change that, and they want to be ahead of it.
