I’m known as the mean & heartless one IRL in my circle of friends, with a rather sadistic sense of humor. I found that dog’s pictures rather heartbreaking, and can’t imagine who’d laugh at them. 
I found them to be knee slapping hil-fucking-arious, and can’t imagine who wouldn’t laugh at them.

As for the dog that prompted all this…I can honestly say that, while I did not find the picture amusing, I have not a shred of sympathy for the dog, either. This would have been the case whether it received a face full of quills, a body full, or even it the damn thing were fed into a chipper-shredder. Perhaps uniquely among animals, I find pit bulls/bull terriers/whatever the hell they are to be loathesome beasts. Irrational? You betcha, since I’ve never even known one. But I really can’t even stand the look of 'em, quill-faced or not.
Any other breed would likely have elicited an, "Aw, man, poor doggy " from me.
