Turkish beverage: can you help?

When I was in Turkey a few years ago, the owners of many of the little shops brought me a hot tea-like beverage that tasted, I think, like apples.

Since then I’ve been trying to find the stuff. Even if I had to order it from someplace obscure I’d buy a case and keep it around for a while.

Anyone know what this might have been?

Thanks!

Yes, it’s called “elma cayi.” We liked it too.

My parents brought back a couple of packets of this from their trip to Turkey about 7 years ago - I was hooked. I was able to find it in an international grocery shop here in Oz, the label was called “Lezzo” (which gave my best friend and I endless amusement).

I’m sure if you tried some international grocery shops, middle eastern style shops you might have some luck in locating some.

Good luck!

Have you tried Yeni Raki? It’s not Tea, but it is fun to drink!
