I better stop now, I could be here all night. Somehow I think I’m giving the impression that my most vivid musical associations are car related… la la la… :stuck_out_tongue:

Ride of the Valkyries (Wagner) – nothing better for cranking it up while cruising through a quiet residential area at 2:30 am.
Carmina Burana (Orff) – the whole thing. Really freaks out folks at the stoplight when you sing along in Latin.
The fourth movement of Beethoven’s Symphony No 9 – there’s something liberating about shouting out the word “Gottterfunken” repeatedly.
The Polovtsian Dances (Borodin) – music just doesn’t get any better than this (YMMV)
Va, Pensiero (Verdi) – Pretty mellow for blasting, but that fortissimo can really stop traffic!
Votre toast (Torreador’s Song) (Bizet) – Only if your car can strut, though.

Last but not least, the 82nd Airborne Division All-American Chorus’ rendition of Blood on the Risers

What?

Any song from Dr. Dre’s Tha Chronic album.

“Chica Mi Tipo” by Sublime
“Violet” by Hole

That’s about it. I’m not a big fan of blasting music in the car. It hurts the dog’s ears.

Ironically, the song that the OP prompts in my head is “Turn up the Radio” by Autograph.

Well, you never hear this on the radio, but I love songs that give instructions. For example, the liner notes Jeff Beck wrote for Truth say of Shapes of Things: “This must be played at maximum volume whatever phonograph you use.”

Likewise, around the edge of the label of the LP Ogden’s Nut Gone Flake by the Small Faces appear these words: “For amazing results, this record should be played at maximum volume”

School’s Out! by Alice Cooper (well, anything by the 'Coop, really)
We’re Not Gonna’ Take It/I Wanna’ Rock by Twisted Sister
Dirty Deeds (done dirt cheap) by AC/DC
Ride of the Valkyries by Wagner
1812 Overture (last 2 minutes with the cannons)
Betohven’s 5th Symphony

Purple Haze or Burn - The Cure
A Day By The Lake - Disillusion
The entire Rush of Blood to the Head album - Coldplay
The entire Abbey Road album - The Beatles
Working Man Blues - John Lennon
A Thousand Years - Sting
Fast Car - Tracy Chapman
Love Reign O’er Me - The Who
Little Wing - **Stevie Ray Vaughn **
