Turned off circuit breaker for Fridge; now buzzes when I turn it back on

Yesterday I was trying to replace the light bulb in my Smeg refrigerator; I can’t easily pull it out to unplug it so I turned off the circuit breaker thingy that feeds electricity to it; I unscrewed the old light bulb, but the new light bulb I bought didn’t fit into the socket. So I turned the breaker back on and the fridge worked again. (The owner’s manual said to turn off the power before changing bulbs)

Today I bought another new bulb for it, and again turned off the circuit breaker, but the new bulb wouldn’t fit in either; but needing to keep the fridge running, now when I try to turn the circuit breaker back on, there is this weird loud BUZZING sound from my oven area. ???

Maybe the oven timer needs to be reset?

ok the buzzing is coming from an outlet (plug in corded appliances) next to the refrigerator, that has one of those “reset test” buttons on it, but has nothing plugged into it.

I turned the circuit breaker on again and by the time I checked it was that outlet, the buzzing has stopped. I can’t tell if the refrigerator is back on again just yet.

Ok looks like the outlet was the problem, the sound was the electricity being ‘grounded’ the outlet broke" and no longer functions (test/reset/glowing light) and will need to be inspected by an electrician to replace the outlet and look for any cause of the problem either behind the outlet or in the circuit breaker area.

Where’s Lister when you need him?
