I did something to my laptop, and now when I type the letter M a 0 comes up instead. L is 3 etc … Somehow those number keys got turned on and being mildly technologically illiterate I don’t know how to turn it off. Someone help!
you hit the Num Lk key. Happens to me all the time. Hit it one more time, and you should be all set.
First off, I’m impressed that you managed to type a question about not being able to type the letter “M” without coming off like a game of charades. On your laptop’s keyboard, the numbers should be written in a different color (blue or green maybe) from the letters that they overlap. Look in the corners of your keypad for another key with wording that color. NumLock, PadLock, or something similar will be written in the same color. Press it – you may have to hold down ALT or CTRL while you do – and the keys should go back to normal.
