How do you stay hidden for 28 days? Run or hide or a little of both?
I’ve watched the show and I think there must be a rule they haven’t mentioned saying that you can’t stay in one place for very long. The easiest thing would be to go to a neighbor’s house and just stay in their back bedroom with the curtains closed for 28 days. They said that they can’t force their way into anyone’s house, and they can’t force friends or family to talk to them.
I wouldn’t go to family or friends - too easy - but surely there’s someplace I could just rent a basement with someone who’s trustworthy and just hunker down for 28 days.
So surely it must be like the Hunger Games or Battle Royale, where staying in one place too long will get you disqualified (since this is real life, not killed.)
I’m guessing also it would be best to be a relatively ordinary looking person, and white Caucasian, the majority race in the USA. Any unusual features - racial, physical, etc. - could only be to your detriment.
Go Mrs. Doubtfire and change my apparent gender to an old woman. Wouldn’t be too hard with headscarves and dress and sensible shows, handbag and makeup, and a big padded bra.
Are contestants allowed to use their own funds? If so, I would get a credit card with a low limit (like $2,500) and leave it on a city bus. With any luck, someone will find it and start using it and my purchases will be popping up all over town, while I leave and go to a different city.
When submitting your application as a fugitive, also apply to join the Command Centre team. (Arrange some minor change in appearance between the two applications …)
In the hour before the hunting starts, report for duty at the Command Centre.
Wasn’t there a Canadian show called “Mantracker”, or something like that, with a similar premise (but it all happened in the wilderness, in a single day)?
