TV Shows List Of Re-Newed, Not-Yet, Canceled

not a single reaction to the cancellation of Human Target? is it simply old news or do people not like the show? why do you hate America?!

Well, $#! My Dad Says* has gotten the axe. Too bad, it had about 10 million viewers a week, but the ratings weren’t good enough for CBS. It lost about 25% of the audience from its lead-in, The Big Bang Theory. I liked it, I enjoy Shatner, and I thought it had potential. The writers tried to humanize the characters instead of making them one dimensional cardboard cutouts, especially with the plot line about Vince and Bonnie trying to have a baby. Another show ending on a cliffhanger, though, as one of Ed’s long-lost sons turned up on his doorstep. Hey, it might have been a good role for Charlie Sheen. Who knows?

Yes, I would like to hear a SPECIFIC example of why the character who I consider the most dull of all is actually the FUNNIEST on the show. And you can’t use a “it’s british humor, either you get it or your don’t” as your answer.

10 million people isn’t enough to keep a show on the air? Call me crazy, but that sounds like a lot of people. Shit My Dad Says was pretty by-the-book, but it was better than I expected it to be. I just can’t watch laugh track sitcoms anymore…HIMYM and BBT are hard enough to deal with.

I watched Human Target twice. Both episodes were stupid.

Yes yes, watch Bob’s Burgers! Louise as the smartass sarcastic youngest daughter is one of THE actual funniest characters on television.

I’m annoyed about it, as was the friend I watch it with when I told her last night. I wasn’t real happy with some of the changes they made during the second season (I knew that their new partner was going to be interfering with the way they did business, and thought the thief was an annoying twit - although I did like some of her interplay with Guerrero) but I thought that it still had potential.

Quite frankly, I only watched it for Guerrero.

P&R dissers just don’t understand the awesomesauce that are Ron Swanson & April.

Fox Network hates America

I think that is more than a single reaction.

P&R is ok. Not great, but not bad. I twill never be a break-out hit, but I could see it lasting 5-6 years under most people’s radar.

I think but I’m not sure this was directed at me. It’s not british humor: he absolutely never breaks character and he is 100% serious about what he’s saying. I swear I’ve never seen him flinch and he’s been noted in the press for his outstanding physical comedy.

The Ron Swanson Pyramid of Greatness explained. (warning, 30 second ad on this one)

Ron Swanson is a simple man.

Ron Swanson finds a typewriter.

"The whole point of this country is if you want to eat garbage, balloon up to 600 pounds and die of a heart attack at 43, you can! You are free to do so. To me, that’s beautiful.” -Ron Swanson

These are by no means the funniest stuff I think he’s said but they’re some of the most visible videos is all. The funniest stuff are his two episodes with his ex-wife Tammy, who is his real-life wife Megan Mullally, of Will & Grace fame.

Ron’s hamburger challenge was what sold me on the character. I watch the show only when my wife does, so I’m not invested in it at all, but that cook-off had me rolling.

Cats that Look Like Ron Swanson

“Fishing relaxes me. It’s like yoga except I still get to kill something.”

I quite enjoyed L&O LA after the revamp, sad that it’s now definitely gone. I do hope CSI NY makes the cut, they’re always well-scripted and I like Sinise. It’s now far superior to the other two, CSI Miami should have gone long ago, Caruso is an embarrassment.

Be sure to click on the link in the OP, as there have been quite a few updates to that original list.

We have watched every episode of Brothers and Sisters and you would think we would be bummed out that it got canceled, but ya know - the writing just got repetitive and to be honest, both my SO and I thought it was about time to kill this one. Sorry they didn’t get a real series finale, but their last episode was about as close to a series finale as you could get. I think the writers saw the writing on the wall for this show. They lost their spark about a season ago when they stopped having stories about the family business and just delved into little personal dramas and kids.

Who let that horrible title go through? I know it was the name of her book but it doesn’t lend itself to weekly water cooler talk. Maybe it’ll get shortened to just “Are You there, Vodka?” or something along the way.

Mad Love is toast, which makes me…not sad, but not happy. I really liked the interplay between the sidekicks, and Sarah Chalke is always easy on the eyes. Too bad. Better luck next time.

It doesn’t matter in the end. The show is going to fail spectacularly.

I am happy that Bob’s Burgers is going through, it’s such a different type of animated show it’s hard to describe. The first couple episodes were a bit rough, but it has gotten so funny as of late.

Yeah, that sums it up. I watched it each week, but I can’t say I’ll miss it.

Really, without funny-vacuum Jason Biggs it might have been worthwhile. I did feel sorry for Greer and Chalke being stuck in such a bland show.

My take on* Mad Love *is that I wish it had been a better show. It should have been a better show. But I can’t be too upset that the show it turned out to be got cancelled.

In fact, I can say exactly the same thing about No Ordinary Family, the only other of the cancelled shows that I watched.

Yeah, the one P&R episode I actually DID enjoy was the one she was on. Bring her back every week, and then I’ll start watching again!

If those links were supposed to sell me on how Ron Swanson is the funniest man on TV, then insert dull Ron Swanson line that stuck-up wanna-be-intellectuals will find hilarious
