Because it’s not too soon to start worrying about it.
Hmm…so there are four “maybes” on the list of shows I watch:
Cold Case and Without A Trace I can take or leave. They’re each not without their charm, but if they go, meh, whatever…something will take their place.
L&O: CI is a good show, but they play such hopscotch with airing it (It’s on NBC…no, wait, USA! Oh, wait, we’ll show that one in two weeks on NBC though, if you want to wait to see it in high-def. Whoop, what time again?), that I never know if I’m DVRing one I’ve seen or not. It’s pretty much more trouble than it’s worth.
Flashpoint, on the other hand, is one of the best shows to come down the pike in quite awhile. I’ll be bummed if that gets the axe.
This are the shows I am concerned about. When I heard a few weeks ago that the best show on television aka Friday Night Lights was renewed for two more seasons, it allowed me to relax. I can now forgive a few cancellations.
The rest I’ll be okay with if Better off Ted gets a second chance.
My name Is Earl “could go either way”? Blasphemy!
Of course, Ausiello fell for the Sarah Connor Chronicles cancellation rumor.
I’m amazed, but pleased that Friday Night Lights has been renewed (for two seasons, I hear).
Any scoop on the direction they’re going to take the show?
I hope Better off Ted gets renewed; I’d like for the Unusuals and Dollhouse as well but I wouldn’t be heart-broken by either.
I hope Castle gets renewed. For everything else, I am pretty much resigned. I will miss Life, though.
Scrubs’ prospects are brightening? Neat. It and Chuck are literally the only shows currently airing that I watch, and I wasn’t expecting either back next year but it looks like people are fighting hard for Chuck, and Scrubs may return as well, so I may continue watching TV next year.
Crap. Maybe if the asshats at CW hadn’t held it back all the way until now to start showing again it would’ve stood a chance.
I hope NBC keeps it. Fox would put it in a crappy timeslot for a few weeks then can it when it gets unsurprisingly bad ratings in that timeslot.
It better go the “renewed” way.
Cool. I’ve never really heard much about how it’s doing, so this is good news. I hope is stays so DVR friendly!
[del]Press skip forward twice now[/del] Fringe will return in 60 seconds.
Bleghhhh. This show is how people falsely claim the Simpsons to be - a once great show now reduced to utter crap. They should recancel it and bring back the Critic instead</wishful thinking>
Killed by bad timeslot. I think it’s actually aired at the right starting time maybe 10% of this season, the rest have been thrown off by sports shifting the schedule.
Chuck is the only thing on the list I’m concerned about. I take that back, I hope they’ll renew Cold Case and the endangered Law and Order for my mom’s sake.
JD and Dr Cox are both leaving Scrubs at the end of this season. There’s no way it comes back.
I agree about Family Guy, it’s crap.
However, I think The Unit jumped the shark when the super-loyal US soldiers went traitors. I know I stopped watching it then.
I’d like to see:
Chuck
Unusuals
Fringe
Scrubs
all stay.
Hal Briston, I agree with you aboyt L&E CI, I got all excited when I heard that Jeff Goldblum was joining the cast, then I couldn;t find the show, only to be told it was on USA Sunday nites! I am confused.
Man, reading the comments to that post made me just a little bit dumber.
When did they go traitor? As far as I know, they just went into hiding because some outside element was targeting them and their families, but they still have protecting the US as their main goal, still answer to the chain of command, etc.
I’m surprised Ugly Betty was renewed as it’s lost so much steam this season and it’s been walloped in the ratings by NBC’s lineup.
I’d hoped there was a possibility of Pushing Daisies at least as a mid-season though, especially if the unseen eps are a hit.
My bitches/worries/yays:
Why are you sighing at the renewal of The Amazing Race? Even people that hate reality TV recognize that it is head and shoulders above the rest.
Of course, morons that think hating reality TV makes them smart is a rant for another thread…
I agree - I find most reality TV to be tedious at best, but Amazing Race is pretty entertaining. Of course, I think a lot of that comes from me imagining how much better I would be at it than most of the people on the show.
It’s doubtful that anybody here cares, but it’s a travesty that these two:
are being canceled . Especially EHC, a very funny, very well-written show.
We do?
They had this underground full of stolen stuff and money, and then when they were investigated for stealing the diamonds (which they did) they went rogue.
