TV Shows List Of Re-Newed, Not-Yet, Canceled

The late-night infomercial for the ShakeWeight[sup]TM[/sup] is much better than Perfect Couples.

Awww I actually liked Perfect Couples. The first few were miserable (but most series are like that) but by episode 4-5 it really hit its stride. Hayes MacArthur in particular has talent and one of the women was a recurring guest on (and married to one of the creators of) It’s Always Sunny.

Some of the stuff the couples fought about were spot on, some for me and some for friends/acquaintances. I thought it really hit on the things upper middle class (or just dual income dual degree couples) fight about.

I thought the latter episodes could be summed up by Arrested Development’s creator Mitch Daniels on why AD failed/was a clusterfuck: "With Arrested Development, we tried showing the deep disdain that connects a family. We wanted to hold up a mirror to American society. And, just as predicted, America looked away. " In Perfect Couples, just the latter two sentences.

Was The Event ever going to be more than one season? I notice that one of the recent (presumably one of final) episodes is titled “The Beginning of the End.”

I have them on my DVR, but have only watched the first episode.

Well, the first episode of Red Dwarf was titled “The End” and it ran for nine seasons…

I much preferred Traffic Light to Perfect Couples. I thought PC was way too cartoony, and the characters seemingly quite wealthy with little mention of them having jobs that matched their apparently income levels. And perheps Olivia Munn is just too beautiful to be believed as a “normal person”. I see ABC seems to have a similar sitcom Happy Endings that I haven’t watched but got renewed. I guess the world can only have one circle of adult friends and their partners sitcom at a time.

I remember how UPN and later when UPN merged with WB to form the CW that they kept VM on the air for three years even though it was pretty much the lowest rated network show around.
