Game of Thrones. I watched season one and I see the appeal, I guess, but I’ll never watch another episode.
Stingray (1964) and “Aquamarina”.
(The neighbors dog actually started to howl as I played that clip…)

…look, somebody must have loved it or they would have strung Gerry Anderson up by his Marionettes…
Cheers.
Big Bang Theory. Not funny at all.
I totally agree. BUT I would suggest that rather than have this thread turn into yet another “what do you hate” thread, I would qualify the OP to “TV shows/movies/songs you hate but others THAT YOU KNOW love ?”.
That is, I can’t stand any Kardashian show either, but I don’t personally know of a single person that does. Obviously they’re out there because these shows stay on the air. It’s just that among the people I know, I don’t know of anyone who watches this.
So for me, there are shows my girlfriend and a number of others love, but I can’t stand:
“Scandal”
“How to Get Away With Murder”
“Scorpion”
Game of Thrones. All the oldsters at my hair salon just love it. It sounds like it’s something I would love, but I watched a few episodes and thought it was too cruel and depressing. Maybe someday I’ll give it another try.
My husband hates The Walking Dead, he gets positively enraged when he sees me watching it. “I just don’t GET it” he’ll bleat, I tell him, shut up, fool, Darryl is on the screen now.
I have to agree with other opinions expressed here, I don’t watch anything on tv now and won’t until fall, when some of my favorites come back.
Back in the past, there were dozens of ‘popular’ shows I never watched - or if I did, I thought they were stupid. Eight is Enough, Saved By the Bell, and especially The Brady Bunch. (I just don’t get it!) I hate hate hate ‘Friends’ with a burning passion. I’ve tried to watch it. I’ve TRIED. I just hate all of them so much I simply can’t do it.
The song “Wildfire”* by Michael Martin Murphey. Boring music, sappy half-nonsense lyrics, just all around blah. I fear for the future of humanity upon reflecting that millions of people bought this dreck and made it a chart hit. How could something so unredeemable come from the same pen that gave us a song with spirit and musicality like “Rolling Nowhere”?
*If you want to listen to that rubbish you’ll have to find your own link – or better yet, don’t. ![]()
Forrest Gump
The Steve Miller Band. It’s fine just playing in the background, but it all falls apart as soon as you actually listen to the lyrics. The man writes lyrics like an 8-year-old would write Valentine’s Day cards.
Same here. And I watched with great enthusiasm, thinking it would be great.
I’m going to vote for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Sorry Jon, but being moderately funny and comfortable in front of a camera does not make you any kind of expert on politics or science.
Pulp Fiction. Hated it.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer. TV show, not movie. (If the show had been more like the movie I might have liked it.) The rabid fans are how I developed a severe allergy to all things Joss Whedon.
The Sopranos. I fail to see any appeal in romanticizing organized crime.
Dallas. A rich, selfish bully who never faces justice? I can’t see that for sour beans!
Songs I hate:
Turn the Page- whiny, bitchy, pity party of a song.
Free Bird- liked it the first few dozen times I heard it. Wouldn’t miss it if I never heard it again!
