[del]Does whatever a furry man does[/del]
Does whatever a furry can

Iron Man, Iron Man
Does whatever an iron can!
Presses pants, any size,
even irons by the flies,
Look out, here comes the Iron Man!

Is he strong? Listen bub,
He’s got alcoholic blood.

Once on WKRP in Cincinnati, Andy described his career trajectory to somebody (Bailey?), and actually used the phrase “Town to town, up and down the dial.”

Related but not precisely on topic: On Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the Scoobies were seeing Giles off at the airport and Tara bought him some Sunnydale souvenir finger puppets and even acted out the Mutant Enemy tagline “Grr! Arrgh!” with them.

The Partridge Family never directly sang their theme song, but did once autograph their very real album that featured that song on it. A stretch, I know.

For the opposite of that; Liz on 30 Rock once showed up at work with a ring on her finger and a cheery making-it-up-as-she-goes-along tune to explain why: MARRIED! Liz Lemon got MARRIED, and MadeUpThisSong, doodle-oo, doodle-oo-doo-DO!

Sung, of course, to the tune of the show’s theme song.

You don’t have to “qualify.” This is my thread, and I say you can post anything you think will add to the conversation. (Wacky re-workings of cartoon themes included.)

Didn’t they also have Jenna sing the theme song in the live episodes?

Iron Man, Iron Man
Does whatever an iron can
(alternate line: Always wearing an iron can)
Presses shirts, even collars
Tony Stark has
Lots of dollars
And he’s - -
Dressed up as Iron Man!

Speaking of The Dick van Dyke Show, at the end of its Christmas episode (“The Alan Brady Show Presents”), the entire casts “sings” the first part of the theme song (up through the part where Rob trips over the ottoman), although without lyrics.

Strangely enough, the opening to that episode is one of the ones where Rob sidesteps the ottoman.

I can’t believe I forgot this:

In, “Kolchak: The Night Stalker,” Darren McGavin whistles his own theme song as he enters the office.

Maybe it was Alan’s theme, too. Did we ever get to hear that?

The Frankie Ortega Trio appeared on “77 Sunset Strip” and sing the shows theme song for episode “The Widow Wouldn’t Weap”.

Steven wrote the theme song for Steven Universe, and played it for the Gems when he moved in with them.

I was just watching an ALF rerun. As part of his commitment to his Melmackian religion, ALF performed the ceremony of Kate and Willie renewing their wedding vows. Lynn turned on some background music for the ceremony. The music was a soft easy-listening recording of the show’s theme.
