Twenty-nine days hath September (or at least that's how long we get to mini-rant this month.)

I cut my fingers on a yogurt lid. :worried: I feel so betrayed! Yogurt should not hurt.

But if you spell it the British way, yoghurt, hurt is right in the name. :slightly_smiling_face:

My father is in a long-term-care home. An older one without many of the more up-to-date features, but they have managed to keep all the residents Covid-free, despite several staff members coming down with the virus. They have done this through rigid isolation and contagion prevention protocols, including banning most visitors, banning excursions by residents, and other draconian measures. They send out regular updates on what is happening, what they are doing, what changes are coming from the provincial and local health authorities, and other information related to the pandemic and resident care. The one thing they repeat at least once a week, is that they have a statutory requirement to place the health and safety of their residents first and foremost in everything they do.

Given how the virus ripped through other LTC facilities this year, we’re very glad they do, even though we haven’t been able to do more than talk to him on the phone or wave through his window for half the year.

Same here. I applaud Old Folks’ Homes like my mom’s who are draconian in their lockdowns.

Sure, I only get to yell up at her window, but that’s so much better than accidentally infecting her.

:grimacing: You’d think American yogurt would be safer. I’ll have to be more careful taking off those dangerous little lids, but I won’t stop buying Noosa, because it is delicious.

I would have seriously paid to see that.

I just got off the phone with a giant asshole of a client who demanded that one of my employees apologize to her for not ignoring DNC lists. This is the same woman who has referred to other products as pieces of shit and outright called their owners idiots. A fucking executive-level professional demanding an apology because we did not ignore a legal requirement. Jesus. If you hate our products so much, leave. If we had the latitude to fire clients, we would.

New rants thread for October.
