Twenty Seven Word Posts

Now people have posts with one word or two words, or maybe even three words, but how about this many words? Just a little challenge to you.

Please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please stop.

This is the most silliest way to expend brain energy that I have encountered on this message board. I think maybe someone needs to get a job.

Legomancer, in his (her?) vat of nutritive liquids, was irked when somebody had the gaul to try a convoluted variation on a boring theme. But that’s cool.

I truly think that it takes a person of strong conviction to be willing to try something a little different than the rest of the crowd.

Different? Simply picking yet another integer (out of an infinite supply) and asking people to write posts of that length? How exactly does this rate as different?

Well, it is kind of like having a sheep with a black spot. He is still a sheep, but the other sheep are inexplicably drawn to it.

Nevermind, “most silliest” is bad grammar; it should be “most silly” or just “silliest”. Just a friendly reminder, since I am not the grammar police, after all!

I say make it slightly more challenging and say the post must be twenty-seven DIFFERENT words. No one has done that yet. At least not until now.

Shoot, I meant to change the second “say” to “state” to avoid duplicate words. Now, I have screwed the whole thing up. I’m embarresed by my arrogance.

I think you are misinterpreting this thread. The title is ‘Twenty Seven Word Posts,’ not ‘Twenty-Seven Word Posts.’ I won’t make twenty posts, for brevity’s sake.

I will sit here and count each word I type in this box on my fingers and make sure that I do not exceed the 27 words.

Just a nitpick, but shouldn’t twenty-seven be counted as two words? If so, then dreamer has exceeded maximum wordage and should be chastised for rule breaking.

For the love of God, I hope this is the last of the insipid “X-number-of-words” threads.

chastise - The English Dictionary definition being: scold, discipline, spank. If this is what happens when one breaks the rules around here then I will be dang sure to count better next time!!
