Here’s a question for the Log:
I watched the second episode last night and was curious as to who the folks were at the Bang Bang Bar (Some dive bars just seem to exist forever, don’t they?)
I recognized James Hurley, but was the short guy he was with the formerly ponytail-rockin’ biker dude he hung out with in the early series? (I can’t remember if that guy ever had a name, but he was one of the Bookhouse Boys.)
The woman on a Mom’s Night Out who said James was cool, I am guessing that was Shelley Johnson. I didn’t recognize her, but based on the discussion at that table (one of the moms had a daughter with a bad boy boyfriend), I suppose it must be here.
But who was the guy she was flirting/winking at from across the bar? That didn’t look like Bobby Briggs. Yet it also seemed as if this was someone the audience (at least the die hards) would recognize.
That was Shelley. I’ve seen multiple critics say she looks the most unchanged of anyone!
Perhaps I didn’t recognize without the waitress uniform, the bruises from Leo, or the general look of hopeless despair. Given the sorry condition of most of the old crew in this new series, it’s nice to see at least somebody’s life has gotten better.
