This is not a sexist post in any manner, and I offer as evidence the following clip.
I can’t decide which of these two is the dumber blonde. This has nothing to do with the unfounded stereotype that blondes tend to be dumber than others, but purely on the comments that each make (or do not make). Coulter makes no sense whatsoever in a single thing she says, and all her interviewer can think to ask her about is something having to do with Wheel of Fortune. It doesn’t occur to her to suggest that while the transport of solar panels requires trucks burning fossil fuels, so too does the installation of other methods to bring power to Leo DiCaprio’s home. It doesn’t occur to her to bring up the irony of Coulter jokingly referring to Scarlet Johanssen as “Dr.” to highlight her lack of expertise in some area, when Coulter mindlessly rambles on about something that she too knows nothing about. It also doesn’t occur to the interviewer to ask Coulter to explain her comment about “genocides if we don’t have fossil fuel”, but I give her a pass on that because the comment is so mind-numbingly stupid that even I can’t make sense of it, and I get to stop the video and think about it for a while.
I will say though that it really does make me want to see what kind of monolithic castle DiCaprio is building, being that it seems to have taken “hundreds of trucks” to get those solar panels up that mountain!
To me, using “Two Dumb Blondes” as a subject line IS sexist. It feeds into a stereotype equating women’s hair color with their intelligence.
A better title would have been “I’ll bet you can’t watch these two for more than five seconds”. Then you could’ve offered a prize to whoever listened the longest, like tickets to Wheel of Fortune or a solar fan.
Let’s see - graduated cum laude from Cornell, then got her law degree at University of Michigan Law School, where she was an editor of the Michigan Law Review.
I wonder why lefties think that stupid sexism is excusable if it is directed at right-wing women.
I don’t think Coulter is dumb at all! She’s probably Mensa-level smart. However, she seems to be possessed by weapons-grade cynicism – she will say ANYTHING to anger, frighten and disinform her yokel admirers, even in front of interviewers who know that what she is saying is hooey. The question is why they keep asking her to appear on TV when they know you can’t get a serious argument out of her.
You’re wrongly assuming anybody wants her to make a serious argument. CNN’s desperate for ratings and she’s desperate for attention. It’s a match made in ignoramus heaven.
The OP is linking to CNN, which currently has the kind of ratings Fox News will have in 20 or 30 years, when most of its current viewers are dead.
I agree with Terr, Ann Coulter and whatever pretty blondes they put up on the news know exactly what they are doing. The dumb ones are the ones they milk for millions while saying stupid shit.
Well, if they’re that smart, then they should realize that Coulter specializes in generating hateful bilge for shock effect and that they’re being manipulated.
