Two Kids Dead, But Mom's Hair Sure Looks Nice

There has been so much publicity about the dangers of leaving kids in cars, especially in summer, that I can’t believe that any parent is unaware that doing so is life-threatening and completely unacceptable. Therefore, I can not believe the claim that it was an ‘accident’. Maybe she intended to come back before they died but forgot, maybe she intended to ‘teach them a lesson’, maybe she intended on killing them… we don’t know what her intentions were. It doesn’t matter. Two children were killed in a hideous, slow manner. It doesn’t matter that it was the mother that did it, and that she has ‘suffered enough’. By that same logic, no parent would ever be legally responsible for killing their offspring.

I am disgusted at this woman. She doesn’t deserve the title of ‘parent’ since that word implies love, care and responsibility.

I am so sad for those children. I hope she never gets the chance to create more victims.

You missed it Goo. She’s pregnant.

Goo, read my previous post. She’s pregnant. She’s already got the opportunity. :frowning:

Oops, thanks, Tranquilis. By the way, ignoring that we’re in the pit for the moment, I’m liking you more and more each post.

What gets me is the leaving the kids in the car as “punishment”. How in the fucking hell do you justify “punishing” a 10 mo. old for anything. A 10 mo. old has no idea of the theory of punishment in any sense of the word. What is a 10 mo. old even able to do to deserve a punishment? Cry because he/she needs a diaper change?

I’m against the death penalty, but I sure hope this woman rots in the 9th level of hell for what she did.

I’m not a parent, but when I see my nephew on the 4th, I am going to give him the biggest hug he has ever gotten from his auntie.

Oh bugger.

Thanks for pointing that out, though I kinda wish I didn’t know. :frowning:

::blush::
(or were you talking to Goo…?)

Anyone taking bets as to a possible “pre-partum depression” defence?

Where did you guys hear that it was a punishment, btw? Just because I didn’t see that in the articles. I can believe it, though.

I’m so disgusted. :frowning:

Re: Seat belt dragging death incident

Uh, the National Association for the Advancement of White People?

This is a little off-topic, but couldn’t you have found a slightly better link than this…?

You know, I’m pretty die hard pro-life, but if this woman were to have an abortion while she’s out on bail (presuming that she gets out on bail) I wouldn’t shed a single damn tear. The depth of the hatred I’m feeling toward her right about now is absolutely frightening.

This thread has absolutely torn my heart out.

I have a 9 month old baby boy at home. I can have the shittiest day in the history of civilization, and it all is washed away when I see my little boy smile as I walk through the door. I don’t leave him alone for three minutes anywhere, let alone in a car, for three hours.

Acacia was only one month older than my boy.

FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK
I will not be able to sleep tonight. Bitch. Death is too good for you.

“…and may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.”

I’m so terribly sad right now that I can’t muster up enough emotion to say how much I hope that “mother” suffers.
I have children in those age groups and the mental image of that little boy getting his baby sister out of her seat to get her some air breaks my heart.
You poor little darlings. Rest in peace.

G.

Umm, I don’t get it. Where would they find someone to do the raping? What lesson would it teach?
What is with you? Why is sexual assault being considered here?
Eeeuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

I hope with all of my heart there is a heaven waiting for those babies after what they endured.

I also hope there is a hell waiting for their mother and the bitch gets a first class ticket on the eternal suffering express.

As for the unborn child,it should be taken from her as soon as possible and given to someone that is a human being. The twatnugget should then be sterilized and spend the rest of her putrid existence in solitary confinment. The death penalty is too good for her.

Another Primate–“what is with us” is that we were discussing the asinine suggestion that rape would be an appropriate punishment. You obviously read the first page to find that quote–did you skip the ten posts immediately above it, or what? This may be overly snippy, but it seems to me that if you’re going to quote somebody and then comment negatively, you should probably have quoted the poster who actually made the suggestion and not those of us who were merely discussing it.

**Guinastasia **—the “punishment” angle came from tlw’s post explaining the first degree murder charge. I haven’t seen it anywhere else either, so hopefully she’ll pop in and let us know where she heard/read that.

This latest article confirms the pregnancy, and also states that the children would have been dead within a half-hour. I know that shouldn’t comfort me, but it almost does, just because it means there was that much less time in which they suffered, wondering where their mother was, confused, afraid. It’s also the second article I’ve read in which they quoted someone as saying that this woman was a “good mother”. That confuses me, to say the least. It makes me think that either she was a sociopath who managed to hide her true nature for quite a while, or that the definition of a good mother has changed considerably.
Fuck that. I’m a good mother, as are many other dopers, and I am deeply, horribly offended to hear that term applied to someone who would allow this to happen. It cheapens the term. Being a good mother involves a LOT more than just spitting them out and making sure they’re fed. It involves caring so much for a child that you’d do anything to keep them safe, anything to make sure they’re comfortable. It means you go to them when they cry in the night, and you help them when they’re in trouble, and you worry about them when you’re away, and you TAKE THEM WITH YOU when you get out of the car. You’d think that would be a given.

You seem to be unaware of some of the less-than-pleasant possibilites of several major religions.

Hmm… is the “code” in women’s prisons anything like that in men’s pens?

'Cause if so, that’s going to be one long protective isolation…

This story is not news. These type of incidents happen all of the time. There were 30 kids killed this way last year alone. 9% of parents don’t understand that you shouldn’t leave your kids in the car unattended. It’s all about ignorance and stupidity, not ‘evil’. Read more here-

It seems to me this is very obviously a case where it would be appropriate to have the criminal excuted by being burned at the stake.

I’m against CP, but she certainly deserves it.
