Two questions about banning

  1. When someone is banned, are they not able to post only, or are they unable to access the boards at all?

  2. Am I allowed to ask why someone was banned? Sometimes i’m reading posts and i’ll notice the poster has been banned and i’m so curious as to why.

  1. They can read the boards, but not post, do searches, or look up user info.

  2. The administration prefers you email one of them to ask, rather than doing so publicly on the boards.

  3. This should have gone in ATMB.

  1. Anyone with a browser can read the board. Banning affects the ability to post.

  2. Questions regarding specific bannings should be addressed to the Administrators by e-mail.

iii) Questions regarding board policies belong in the About This Message Board Forum (where several FAQ threads have provided to answer some of these questions, already).

iv) Complaints about the operation of the board should, as noted in those FAQs, be posted in the BBQ Pit Forum.

v) A Moderator will be by, shortly, to move this thread to its proper Forum (or to close it).

Since this has been answered, I’ll just close it.
