Two towels and too lazy to dry

Does anyone else put on two towels after getting out of the bath, one around the waist and another around the shoulders. (You know to keep warm)
Also does anyone just sit there and let their body dry by itself instead of drying it themselves. (While my body dries I usually read a book or surf the web)

Nope. I’ve got shit to do.

A barely use one.

Mrs. Cheesesteak dries off by sitting around in a towel-like robe. That takes way too long for me, I towel off in about 2 minutes, and get on with my bizness.

I use multiple towels at each shower. I won’t say exactly how many, or people will think I’m wasteful. :frowning:

So, were you two towels to the breeze when you joined the Dope this morning?

Drying for me is a ritual I walk through with each body part, takes less than a minute but I talk myself through each section. My girlfriend has one towel she steps on, one towel around her head, one towel she dries with and another towel she wraps herself in.

I change my hand and face towel a few times a week but only wash my bath towel once a week and dry it out after each use. Girl friend will not use a towel twice but I finaly got her to rotate them from body towel to wrap towel to foot towel so she isnt washing 28 towels a week.

I’m pretty lazy but not too lazy to dry off. I don’t have the patience to air-dry. I stay inside the shower and dry my face and upper body, then my hair, then my lower body. Done in probably 30 seconds.

My husband can’t seem to get dry with towels. I’ve even tried toweling him after a shower myself, and by the time he’s dressed, his skin and clothes are damp.

Something like that.

I use two; one for my hair (which habit I developed when my hair was long and has continued even though it’s probably unnecessary) and a huge bath sheet for the rest of me; I dry by the “wrap it and wait” method.

I don’t really dry myself off. Maybe I’ll do a quick swipe with a towel, but I don’t really get dry.
I shower at night so I just hop in my pajamas wet.

I also sleep with wet hair, which is apparently weird.

Can’t let this pass. So, what parts are you trying to dry off?

I use one towel, dry off, and hang it up. No need to wrap myself in it - I’m either going to get dressed or get in bed.

I don’t have to dry my calves - we have a pug who loves leg water!

I used two towels but not in the same way as the OP. One towel is for my head, all turban style. The second one I use to pat myself (mostly) dry. Then it’s moisturizing time (it rubs the lotion on its skin) and then I sort of air dry the rest of the way while I blowout my hair and do other daily hygiene/beauty routines. By the time I’m done with that other stuff I’m 100% dried off.

A question for the male dopers. Does anyone else get an erection and/or masturbate in the shower.

I occasionally use the “drip dry” method, usually after getting a bad sunburn. But usually I dry myself off with a towel and get dressed.

Speaking of towels, I CANNOT get my kids to hang up a towel and use it again. They act like they were raised in a hotel. They invariably leave it laying on the floor of their room (or the bathroom), where it gets nasty and frankly I wouldn’t want them to use it again without being washed. Any suggestions on changing that behavior are very welcome.

Try to get them into the habit of hanging wet towels on doors to dry and when a towel isn’t in use put it on those coat hangers (if you have them) that go on doors.

Don’t wash their towels unless they’re hanging in the proper spot. If they’re washing they’re own towels, pick up any that you find on the floor, take them to the laundry room, soak them in water and leave them there.

Dry with towels? Doesn’t anyone dry naturally, as God intended?
