Drudge Report (this link is subject to change)

It contains a report from Alex Perry, TIME correspondent, describing a revolt by Taliban POWs that has resulted in at least one, possibly two U.S. Special Forces troops being killed. U.S. Air Force and British SAS troops are on the ground with the Northern Alliance fighting to retake the fort.

The Pentagon says it is not so (also a link that’s subject to change).

It evolves. From AP:

And, as MEBuckner has noted, U.S. Marines are on the ground in force.

There’s a decent work up on this in the BBC Online here.

It talks about how most of the Taliban soldiers involved were killed in the resulting fracas and how US Special Forces already on site called in air strikes to quell the uprising. Dittoes the comment on one CIA unconfirmed wounded.
