The other day I heard that Bono had been injured in a bicycle accident. It tuns out the injuries were pretty bad.

Pete Townshend had a nasty fall off a bike years ago. He shattered his right wrist so badly that they had to fuse it in position.

So, I guess most people like to see his Bononess fall on his face, eh? Guy makes us all look bad. He isn’t just Bono, doing Bono saves the world stuff, but also still is a relevant artist, also happily married, his kids are doing well, and he doesnt seem to be in any major fight with anyone. Plus he managed to turn his only medical frailty, his eyesight, into a signature cool tinted glasses look.
About time dude fell on his face, I’d say.

It sounds awful and I wish him a speedy recovery and good health going forward. I kinda watch the trajectory of U2 from the sidelines. They’ve never been my band, but I respect their craft and long careers, and some of their songs are great. And Bono does an amazing job engaging the world - wraps both arms around his life. I envy his chutzpah.
I do have to say though: I fucking hate Bono’s glasses. He could choose to wear any type of glasses he wants for his glaucoma - those blue and red fancy ones just make me snicker and shake my head.
Terrible, hopefully he recovers. I was listening to U2 about three weeks ago, and was thinking about Bono and the band. He could have been worse, we could have lost him. Recently it was revealed he has had glaucoma. Irishman can’t catch a break, though he has had the eye condition for twenty years. Wonder what effect it will have on U2’s long term future?
