$4k for a purse? I guess there’s a sucker born every minute. Though I’m confused why the writers had Betty feel accepted and pretty because she was carrying a designer purse. That seems contrary to the underlying message of the show: that Betty is a strong, interesting woman who marches to the beat of her own drummer. She shouldn’t need a designer bag to feel pretty.
