I was told last night (by a physics teacher) that the Physics A level is getting much harder, back to the old A level standard. Is this true for other subjects as well?
I haven’t heard any such suggestion about the music ones!
No chance. Although part of it is that performance-related assessment of teaching has meant teachers are much better at getting kids to pass the A-level exams nowadays. It’s not simply a case of dumbing down.
Degree classes are on the way out, for similar reasons.
