UK Dopers: what is Satpal Ram up to these days?

Sorry, I tried Googling but all I got was his Wikipedia page and Asian Dub Foundation lyrics.

Indian immigrant (to the UK) Satpal Ram was convicted in 1986 of murdering a white guy during an altercation in a restaurant. His supporters say he was acting in self-defense; the court found otherwise.

I see that he was paroled in 2002, but there doesn’t seem to be much information on what he’s doing now. So what’s he doing? Activism? Or just trying to lead a normal life?

As the Guardian archive (a staunch supporter of the case) turns up nothing since his release, I suspect the latter.

All those threads about the BNP made me think of him. I’d never heard of him when I lived in Britain, oddly enough- though I was about four when he was convicted, so if it was on the news then I wouldn’t have known anyway.
