There was no “padded added time”. Roughly four minutes were played as was appropriate. Indeed, 4 minutes added time was far too little.
Berbatov is…barely a footballer. He’s not good enough. Need to spend on a striker in January.

No, no, honey - we’re busting on villa, not Villa.
See the difference?
Oh no! Chelski’s been thwarted from buying up the rest of Europe! Good thing Real is able to take their place.
YAY! Our boys up front finally figured out where the goal is! Too bad our defenders are on vacation.
I almost stuck my tongue out at chowder. It’s a bit like defending Rush Limbaugh, isn’t it?

Are you forgetting a certain Manchester club which has a few quid lying around?.
Roll on January when the transfer window re-opens…time again to splash the cash:D
I don’t really like ManU (or manure if you prefer) and especially have this strong spot (can i use this as opposite of soft spot?) for sir Alex, but I can understand the added time. At some point one of the dutch comentators (in a totally different match) said that goals mean a minute extra and substitutions 30 seconds. So if there are 3 goals and a substitution in a half, you have 3 minute 30 seconds added on, even without any injuries. I’m not sure what his sources were, but ever since the calculations seemed to have fit with actual time added on (and i’ve seen quite a bit live footie since).
Why is it every time I talk to a Liverpool fan I feel a pressing need afterwards to check that my wallet is still in my pocket and my hubcaps are still on my car?
If you talk to a Liverpudlian IRL you also need to check if your gold fillings are still in yer gob
chowder, how strong are the City-Liverpool and City-Everton rivalries? Everyone obviously knows about United-Liverpool, and as a non-English United fan, I’ve sensed there’s a bit of rivalry with Everton, though nowhere close to City, Liverpool, and Leeds. Do you care much one way or the other for Merseyside? What about Leeds?
City and Scouse rivalries don’t really exist but we are tied together in that we have a strong loathing for the rags.
I suppose if anything Leeds is viewed in just about the same way…FWIW my son supports Leeds and I’m convinced he isn’t of my loins.
Brought him up the right and proper way, to hate the rags. When he’s about 7 or 8 years old he tells me he doesn’t support City :(. Yours truly was absolutely gobsmacked, I’d bought him all the City gear, his bike was covered in City stickers and the little bastard ingrate tells me he supports fucking Leeds !!.
I’m convinced that they got them mixed up in the hospital and that somewhere in Leeds there is a diehard City fan who broke his dads heart.
Either that or my wife wasn’t altogether honest with me:p
+++++++++++
In other news, City left it a bit late last night but came through and beat Fulham 2-1 to advance to the 4th round of the Carling Cup
Leeds 0-1 Liverpool.
It’s like the good old days. The first time I ever saw Leeds lose live was when they lost 2-1 to Liverpool in about 72/73. Mick Jones scored with an overhead kick, Liverpool equalized then Steve Highway hit the winner in front of the Kop (the Leeds version) after Jack Charlton slipped and fell on his arse.
Went to Rochdale today to watch the mighty Dale in action against Hereford.
Dale won 4-1 and move into 5th place in Div 2 and bang on course for yet another play-off spot.
Up The Dale
Nice seeing Chelsea lose. A bunch of the lads were at Anfield to see Liverpool trounce Hull. Anti-Irish the lot of them, Liverpool fans that is
Spurs, eh?
The Graham Hicks of the premiership.
Manchester City 3 Wet Spam 1
Fantastic game and Tevez should have had a bagfull but got a couple anyway.
WHU must have the worst defence in the premier league apart from Pompey
I’m seeing us finish 5th, behind the current top 4 and City (in no particular order). Villa and Everton are good, but I’m not sure they have the depth when injuries come along.
This season has been pretty exciting so far. Didn’t see Chelsea losing at Wigan.
And yet everyone rates the 30 year old Upson at £15m!
Who didn’t play;)
If you finish behind the top 4, plus one other, and you finish 5th, you will have accomplished something miraculous!!!
Following a 2-0 win at Darlington last night Rochdale surge up to table to occupy 2nd place and are on course for auto promo.
Could this be their year?
Up the Dale
This would be nice to see.
Up the Dale!

I was on a roll when I posted that day!
Ok, I’d be very pleased with 5th behind the current top 4 OR 3 of the above and Man City. Having said that, rumours are that Redknapp is leaving, though it appears to be due to a spate of bets on him lowering the odds rather than any actual facts.
I suspect it is all nonsense, but if he does go, I hope we get Martin “Tony Soprano” Jol back.
