UK Football Season 2009/2010

Well, whatever one would call the 'Pool v. Man. U. game, it wasn’t a “dull, unconvincing display.” :stuck_out_tongue:

Nor is anyone going “flip” regarding Rafa. I think the general consensus is that he’s weird but we’ll keep him - it’s the owners who have to go.

Good match today; makes me wonder where all that fire’s been the last month.

Sorry, Busy Sicssors, meant to reply to this ages ago but … ooooh, shiny!

It’s nice to see the vast amount of stoppage time used to stick an extra goal past them.

Fergie time bites him in the arse

Notice how he’s complaining about the ref again. Apparently, the Premier League referees can’t call a game correctly this season…

But he never seems to whinge when manure win does he?

Is there anything more typical of Villa? Stuff Chelski, and then drop two points to Wolves. Consistency would be a nice thing.

That was MO’N’s issue at Leicester, too. I once did a workup of their record during their years in the Premiership, and in every case, their inability to break out of the mid-table range could be attributed not to results against the top teams, nor against the mid-range teams, but against the bottom third of the League. They consistently underperformed in this vital area.

I think Martin O’Neill is a very good coach, but he is someone who seems to do best when instilling fire in his men. He doesn’t seem to do that as well against teams you don’t really need to be fired up against…

Having crushed 5-1 the footballing superpower known as Scunthorpe, Manchester City advance to the quarter finals of the Carling Cup.

The draw for this is on Saturday at noon and I expect either Blackburn or Portsmouth at home.

We’ll probably get either Chelsea, Arsenal or the rags, away

Rochdale totally outplayed league leaders Bournemouth thrashing them 4-0 at Bournemouth.

This moves the mighty Dale into 2nd position in Div 2 just 1 point behind the leaders…Bournemouth.

Up the Dale!!

I got out of bed waaaaaay to early for that? Sheeit.

So is Rafa still a tactical genuis? Well beaten by Fulham. Takes Torres off though he didn’t appear to be that injured.

Plays Voronin who isn’t good enough. I hope he stays because he adds a bit of spice to the PL.

United making hard work of Blackburn. Chelsea rolling on.

Having been given 2 tickets I went to watch Man City yesterday.

After roughly 30 mins they were 2-0 down against Burnley. SWP pulled a goal back just before HT and in the second half City turned it on and were leading 3-2 with just a few minutes left.

Then Burnley scored :frowning: the game ended 3-3 but a very enjoyable game it was.
+++++++

In other news, Rochdale played Luton in the FA Cup and after less than 30 mins were losing 3-0.

The second half saw the mighty Dale score 3 goals and the match ended 3-3. With any luck I’ll be able to get tickets for the replay which is in 10 days time.

Up the Dale

Tough loss for United but if this game doesn’t convince Ferguson to spend in January then nothing will (assuming he has the money). Devoid of options from the bench he couldn’t do anything once Chelsea got their jammy goal.

Devastated at manures loss, absolutely devastated. My whole world is now a dark and meaningless void.

I didn’t hear the goal and I missed MOTD2, but when I saw “Terry 76” on Teletext, I knew that it would be a jammy goal. Arses.

Dale replay is this Wednesday, 11th November and is live on ITV 4.

I expect all UK members to be watching and cheering for the Dale…yes even those from Luton

I know! Heartbroken myself. Well, them losing and Villa putting 5 past Bolton made for an all round tragic weekend.

Bloody comical from where I was sitting. God we were awful.
