I found very very thin egg noodles from Hungary in a store and bought some. They only take a minute to cook. Other than soup or served as a side dish, is there anything in particular they would be good in?
Under stroganoff. Yum.
Some kind of fish with a creamy and cheesy white sauce.
I’m no chef, but even a boil-in-the-bag cheesy fish concoction served on top of some vermicelli is absolutely wonderful.
Thanks for the suggestions. The noodles are very delicate, so the sauce would have to be really specially good. I wish Stouffers still sold those little boxes of Lobster Newburg, a nice little treat that is no more. But I could certainly make it myself, or even shrimp in vodka sauce.
Saute some mushrooms with garlic, shallots and thyme. Add marsala wine. Reduce. Touch of cream (optional). Drop hot (al dente) egg noodles in the sauce. Chopped fresh parsley. Enjoy.
I have an angel hair pasta salad recipe that is scrumptious but lost at the moment.
However, this one is similar or google to find others. Mine was especially good after sitting in the fridge overnight and getting good and cold.
