The little angel is going to live on 6 acres with another dog and a 14 year old boy to wrestle with. I am so very happy and sad at the same time. I’m gonna miss that little smush-faced kid.
Anyway, my pup is going camping with her new family this weekend and is already being spoiled. It is like my house on steroids!
I wanted to thank all of you that gave me a boost after my pitting of the evil people that made this situation possible and to thank all of you that do your part to rescue these critters and find them perfect homes.
Hopefully I will open my door to another little soul soon and go through this all again…
I’m so thrilled. The family had lost their Shar Pei over the holidays and the husband is just on cloud nine with his new babe. I knew she was right when we talked about her getting a lifejacket for her to go in the water and a new doggie seatbelt for the car. I almost fell over. She even volunteers at a local vet clinic–where she got her other dog who was abandoned.
Well, I miss her already. My other dogs keep looking for her. This one was a real toughie for the old heartstrings.
I’d also like to plug petfinder.com and their classifieds for lost/wanted/available pets. This is how Cloe’s new owner and I found each other. They also have national listings for shelters and rescue orgs.
Congratulations to the pup! And a hug to you, sj2, for doing right by her both by taking her in and letting her go. I followed the Pit thread, and I’m glad you found a good home for her.
