For Christmas I received a massive volume “Utterly Uncle Fred”
What a treat!
Wasn’t Uncle Fred the respectable chap who sat in his window shooting rocks at the gentlemen passing by as he tried to knock their hats off? And was described as having the emotional maturity of a slightly inebriated underclassman?
Among other things, yes. He was noted for dragging his nephew Pongo off on adventures to spread ‘sweetness and light’, sometimes with arrests.
I remember them passing themselves off as veterinarians to get into someone’s home for some reason.
